Eyehategod310
after about a year of trouble free use, my pathy is finally giving in. its not too bad, just a bad starter.. had to tap it to get a start like 4 times today, pretty emberassing but whatever... 255,xxx miles and thats all thats gone wrong lol
Tungsten
you can get one of those brush kits and rebuild the starter yourself if you don't want to go spend a large sum of money on a starter
RedPath88
lol I've had two give up already... one do to a mud bath the the replacement just because it was a pansy Anyway, that's nothing to complain about
Eyehategod310
yeah im planning on fixing it with my uncle, just thought i'd vent my frustration on the forum lol
Precise1
You have no frustration, you got it started every time. Frustration is not getting it started and asking yourself why you shut it off without simply driving directly to the parts store/home. Sorry to hear, but it's really not a big deal, especially like you said, at 250k miles... B

Kingman
Lol I think you'll find the real frustration in getting the damn thing out and a new one in.
Eyehategod310
wooooo! im stoked. I got my uncle to help me replace the starter today. it was a PITA getting the old one out but over all it was a good experience getting my hands dirty wrenching the good ol' pathy. she starts great now plus i figured out that i CAN reach the oil filter from the fender well so next oil change should be that much easier. silverton
Through the fender is the only way I can get an oil filter to thread, I tried for about half an hour from the top before I gave up.
Precise1
Make sure to cover your new starter with a rag or something next oil change so you don't dump the standard 1/4 cup of motor oil on it. B
