headpeace
My AC isn't bad at all, especially down here in the South, but I wonder at times if it could use a little charge, hell it's 17 years old. I think maybe it could be a bit cooler. Has anyone bought/used the charger kit things from your local auto parts store/walmart, etc..... If so any comments as to how it worked or if they are detrimental to our AC systems? Edited June 5, 2010 by headpeace
adamzan
I have used it in my pathy for almost 2 years now and it is still nice and cold. I used the redtek stuff here in canada. I heard duracool is the same.
nunya
I used a normal a/c gauge setup and vacuumed my system down and all when I did mine but I can say that my r12 system is on summer #2 of icy cold a/c with nothing more than a toggle switch wired up for he compresser (preexisting issue) a low side retro-fit replacement fitting and two 12oz cans of r134a. Proably not much help but it's how I did it...
