One More Lift Question

Ok so I will outline my situation for all who read.

I had my SE into midas today for break work and while it was on the lift I took the opportunity to check into some suspension noise I had been having with my stock setup. In a nutshell I need everything on all four corners or will be needing it very shortly. My struts are in terrible shape, rear springs are so soft that my bump stop is bottoming out on nearly every bump by the looks of it. Bad news!

All that being said I have decided to just go ahead and put the AC lift kit in it instead of putting it back together with OEM parts (that just seems counter productive).

Anyway the real meat of my question is after looking on the www.4x4parts.com webpage, it says all kits need aftermarket wheels with 3.75" BS.

This is kind of unexpected timing for me and the project funds are a little limited. Will I be able to run my stock wheels if I dont upgrade to bigger tires until I can afford a wheel and tire package? Or are aftermarket wheels essential?

Also I did look at the pinned topic on this but I am kind of on a time crunch and would just aprreciate a couple of concise answers.

Thanks a alot again in advance,

Steve.

The 3.75" BS is referring to running tires larger than 31's. 3.75" is required to prevent the inner part of the tire lugs from rubbing against the bottom of the strut coil perch. 31's or less and you'll be fine. KYB are your best choice for struts, their shocks are good. I ran KYB struts, OME rear shocks and OME coils all around and the ride was great. Very little topping out.

Search for ARB dealers in your area (if looking into OME)and get a price on them as you will not have to worry about duty & additional taxes on the S&H. KYB's are availabel in many places.
