Factory Alarm Module

does any one know what the difference is on the alarm module that has a relay on the side of the module and one without

 

 

I took my module out and just noticed that it does not have a relay attached on the side unlike my other pathy that does. Is that for an extra option maybe a trunk release?

 

My pathy is a 93 and 94..the 94 has that relay on the side

Maybe it's for a remote key fob for the locks and alarm?

Are the connectors for both parts the same? I noticed mine is different than both 93's I have found in the yard. Have you tried comparing factory part numbers?

There were two different ones used. If I recall correclty, the changed in 94 so the could use it also in the D21U models.
