mickyficky
My ABS and Brake lights (1995 with 175K) have been coming on and off for about a week. It seems random. Does anyone know what this is a warning for? I don't have an owners manual, can someone check for me? Also, I have searched the forum and found that battery + brake = bad alternator. Precise1
x3 You may have to gravity bleed the ABS unit to get that light to go away. Also, unless you have a leak, it probably means your brake pads are getting worn. If you top off the fluid, when you change the brake pads and push the piston back into the caliper, it may overflow. Easy to circumvent, but be aware. B
mickyficky
Thanks everyone . All of this sounds right because I know my pads are in desperate need of replacement. I will check the brake fluid, change the pads, top off the fluid if necessary and then post the outcome of the indicator lights.
edicer2
x4 check the pads, brake fluid, and make sure a caliper isnt hanging up anywhere.
