Another Pathfinder!

Hi Guys,

I'm buying another pathfinder, this time a R50 99.5.

Off course, I will probably keep my beloved wd21. The more the better , right?

I don't know much about R50s.So, here it is my question: Do I need to install a aftermarket transmission cooler in it?

I did that on my wd21, but I'm not sure if that's a must for the r50s.

Thanks!

The 2 rules to having a long life autotragic Transmission.

Keep the fluid cool and Keep the fluid Clean.

This goes for any vehicle. I would recommend anyone to put a external cooler and external filter on their automatic transmissions.

Even thought there is already an internal filter in the oil pan, by putting on an external filter it will keep your internal from getting dirty (the external filter will be finer) and it is a hell of a lot easier to change than that internal filter.

just my 2 Cents

Thanks for all your replys folks.

Now I can spend that money in something else, still wondering what exactly... :scratchhead:

I'm going to US next month and I need to figure out what would be the best investments (parts).

  • 2 weeks later...

Notice any squeaking 180sx?

Not At all. They were well greased when put it (don't know what kind). And on top of that, the owne said that grooves were made in the direction of the bushings. He said it helps hold more grease to keep the bushings lubed well longer.

Poly bushings would be a wise choice IMO (I just drove a pathy that had poly bushings front and rear, and let me tell you, what a difference!!)

Thanks for the tip! :aok:

I believe energy suspension should have all I need, right?
