You can convert to MPFI, but you would need everything from a donor truck, including wiring harness and ECU IIRC. It might cause issues with an auto tranny brain though as the two units communicate. No the EUCs are not interchangable AFAIK

Far easier to port and polish...

its allota work for less than 10 ponies. However if your doing serious work to it the mpfi will prolly allow you to rev higher since 2 cyl will not be fighting over 2 injectors.

Yep its very possible...and Yep its a lot of work...there is a lot that the ECU drives off of...like the electronic speedo...you can search my posts here and on 4x4parts.com

my 95 was my donor for my 87...this is the 1st attempt with a 94 engine...it worked but threw all kinds of ECU errors...so thats y i decided to do the entire swap...

swapped the entire round dash too...

if your donor is a 90-93 I think you can keep the same dash and cable driven speedo.

on the other hand a 3.3 have been run under the 3.0 TBI system without reqireing any tbi modifacations(I think one has even been done w/a cam).

So the TBI will keep up

Don't get me wrong I'd like to swap too(after everything else is done) But I'm sure many will agree that there many other les time consuming ways to get power....

very true MY1PATH...I have plans for cams, port and polish and a tuneable ECU but those are well down the line...

With the time i spent one would rather do a SAS with a 350 I would imagine but I wanted a unique truck and don't know many people that would do what I did...in the future I may get a frontier donor truck and upfit to the 3.3 and maybe that dash...but that would probably be on a 95 and not for the next 5-10 years if ever...

Anything is possible with enough $ and time

Idono about the fronteir. the 3.3 ecu seems to have allot more codes it can throw. stupid stuff like water in the carbon canister. I think everything pre 95 you can remove the cabon canister and it won't even know.

i'd get a donor truck and do the entire harness swap again...and if i needed rear axle parts or tranny parts or anything else i'd have it so its just transplanting a working system into a diffrent vehicle but like i said thats dreaming big and way in the future
