Power steering fluid

Alright did some searching and found that the PS fluid is ATF which makes sense b/c my 95 had red fluid and smelled like tranny fluid so I assume that is correct...my 87 had run lucas since I had it so that was not a good reference. So if ATF is correct for a 95 I can should use dextron 3 correct?

Many vehicle manufacturers call for Automatic Transmission Fluid for their power steering.

Yea, that works fine, I used that in mine when I changed fluids out and it works like a champ.

awesome...thanks guys...after the drive last night with no PS I want to go ahead and get that bad boy ready to go before I test out the 4wd this weekend
