I was just wondering how your auto trannys shift?..I just recently had mine rebuilt and I get a lurch or what you could call shift shock inbetween 1st and 2nd gear..Is this common for these tranny's? jpawela Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Mine is original with 109K miles and it's really harsh shifting from 1st to 2nd when it's cold. Everything else is very smooth whether it be upshifting or downshifting. I had another Pathy with a rebuilt tranny and it did the same thing (very stiff 1-2 shift). KLL Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 my trasnmission was rebuilt. it was shifting hard 1sn to 2nd, there was vibration on overdrive, now no vibration, but it is still @!*%fitng tight, but little smoother than past. may be it is related to selenoids. Ramon Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 yep when cold mine makes a little "jump" overt the 2KRPM from 1st to 2nd I believe it need to be rebuild when cold it jumps harder than when warm but still jump a little every time from 2nd to all other is smooth and fast and also when overdrive is engaged Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
