mouting lights

Just bought a loadwarrior and 4 aux. lights. I dont want to buy the yakima mounts cuz there to high and $$$. Lightbars are also expensive. Whats the best way to mount my lights to the rack or onto another bar?

Best way? I think you probably answered your own question... yakima mounts or a light bar. But since you don't wany either of them, then you might have to build a custom bracket to attach to your rack.

 

I think there is a person or two here that has come up with alternate methods, just have to wait and see...

Most lights mount with a single bolt. If you want to mount them off one of the load warrior bars you can; make tabs and weld them on to the bars or find some sort of clamp to mount off of. Yakima does sell specific mounts for their baskets, but sounds like it would be about $80 for your needs: http://www.yakima.com/racks/cargo/product/...ng-bracket.aspx

Drill through those cross bars on your roof rack if you've got it and POW!!!

Ive never done it but if I personally would just make one. It would be cheap and just one more thing that you customized.

I have read that the CB mount would work. I think thats the way to go.

I just dilled my cross bars for the rack

i have four lights on my yakima i took a 3 cb mounts clamped them to the bar then drilled 4 holes for the lights and 3 holes for the mounts. works pretty well and got 4 lights on there for less then 20 dollars
