Two seperate flow-through mufflers instead of big oval shaped one?

Dear friends, my muffler in middle is rusted. I cant find direct replacement for original one. I wonder if i use two seperate flow through type cylindrical muffler for each bank of cylinder, will it cause noise? I dont want any drone inside car. Original is quite even it has a hole on it. Rear muffler is original and it it ok.

 

Any suggestions and information? Thank you in advance.

I would think it would be qieter, even tho they are both flow thru each one would be handling 1/2 as many exhaust pulses. migth even sound nicer...

There are many aftermarket weld in mufflers that can be used. Search on here a little as some have installed several different kinds of mufflers and pipe. As far as two seperate mufflers, I dont recommend it. If you used some sort of Y or H pipe you may be ok, but if may cost a lot more.

i installed aftermarket replacement. Sound level is same except idling. It sounds little different. No drone and no sound. Tail pipe has larger diameter and acceleration is much better than before. I never thought that a new exhaust muffler which is close to stock could make this much difference. Higher revs are alive now. Thanks for opinions.

Glad it worked out for you!! Yes, the stock equipment is usually very restrictive. I plan to replace the entire exhaust, headers, catylitic converter and muffler; imagine what effect that will have...

when i get more money i might do the same ik someone on here was selling their headers for fairly cheap it was for a older pathfinder with the vg30 in it though
