Radio Wiring from Tyre Carrier

So its pretty self explanatory, Need to get a cable from the back (Tyre carrier), to the front (inside the cabin).

 

Ideas? Pictures/Diagrams if anyone has any leftover, or has time to take some would be really REALLY helpful.

Feel around on the back side of the rear fender there is a rubber plug there that you can swap to a grommet and run the wire through.

I just installed my CB also. Go to my members page and I took pics of the install. Hopefully that will help.

I'd worry about the wire chaffing on the pinch seam where you ran it.

I cut the pinch seam to lay flat then installed buytle(sp) tape to prevent movement ,chaffing and leakage.

One thing i goofed on my 95 was the location of the whipper on the carrier... so I had to open the tire carrier to open the back glass...If I ever get back to that truck i think it's going for the roof rack or cowl with a dual setup...my 87 didnt have a carrier and i just got a ball mount (then converted to an angle mount)...

 

 

I routed with existing bundles until I got up to the drivers seat and then I shot it across to where the center console and under it then under the shift boot and to the CB mounted below the radio

Turn the bracket around so it faces out to open the glass.
