So I go to wawa on my lunch break and go to start my truck and it wont start. The battery is fine as the lights will turn on and were on for 10 minutes without dieing (daylighters). If I have the key in the run position with the engine off and then turn it to start it does nothing. The starter makes no noise at all and no atempts to start the pathy. Any advice would be great.

thanks in advance.

Jump it while the battery is fine?

yes. have you actually amp tested the battery, or just because the bells n whistles were on you THINK it's ok? how are the leads? try jumping it.......

lights don't have a huge draw as stated above...a good # of amps are needed to turn the starter...I'd put $ on it that it'll jump...

to me it always seems that the dead of winter time usually hurts the battery and the heat of summer kills it

ill try jumping it and see if that works...the only thing im thinking is that the same thing happened last night and i eventually got it started again without jumping it and it started 2 or 3 more times before doing this again...

I have had a battery fail drastically on me. Started it, drove 2 miles to work, everything was fine and it was bone dead at the end of the day (one of the cells failed completely).

It seems like you may have a problem with the ignition switch. I don't believe that these trucks have a starter relay. Try jumping it, check fuses then try to hotwire it...
