1999 SE Bumper question

Okay guys... I have a 1999 SE and the crome corner things are rusted out...

Can I just replace the bumper with the newer style bumper cover?

I know this is a very general question... but Im sure someone else has thought of this.

yes you can just replace the insert, or if theres still some left, take a flap wheel grind the rust off and herc it.

I know the corner pieces can be replaced... But my question is, Can i replace the newer style 1999 bumper with it (the full polypropylene one).

as i observe, hood is different. so you need to replace front grill headlights and hood all together. agian it is same for infiniti qx4. all are different.

No, you cannot replace a 96-99 bumper with a 99.5+ one. The mounting clips on the body are different.

haha me too... just got new corner thingys on ebay for 40 shipped though... so thats not bad.

I bought the eBay ones. I coated them with anti rust paint on the backs before installing them ....which was a major PITA.

 

And then, one winter later ...starting to rust already!

Actually ended up getting New OE Corners and bumper! Looks good now
