kiwipete
Has anyone mounted a winch to their Pathfinder? I want to see how you mounted it in relation to the front chasis members, height above and how much forward placement it has. Pictures would be great. Simon
There are some folks that have them. I hope to be mounting one shortly, in my modified ARB front bumper. The modifications done to it were for the 3" body lift.

Although it will be changing, I am installing an ARB Bumper I will probably have to buy another winch to fit the ARB. Mark

I made a 3" extension for the stock brushguard to fit the 3" BL with lower support. Not sure what the ARB mounts like (at least until it gets here in 2 weeks) Thanks Again (& Again!-) Mike
kiwipete
Nice to see some replies about winch mounting. I plan to mid mount my winch on a seperate bracket with some tube style bars extnding from both sides of the bracket, similar to the smittybuilt ones. First I will do a 2" body lift, and retain the factory bumper in its new place, as the tubes and winch will sit where the bumper used to be. What I would really like to see is how the ARB or other styles of bars are attached to the Pathfinder's front chasis rails. Can you please post some pictures of the mountings? Thanks all. Simon
The ARB mounts in the stock bumper locations, through the body, and also down low, where the stock tow hook attaches. Mine is relocated, due to the body lift, so mine isn't exactly as stock, and I have to re-attach the top two mounts. But if you're interested, there are a pile of pics here: http://www.canadianpathy.com/photos/may12thmods/index.htm You'll have to weed through, as many of the pics are from my body lift installation....the bumper relocation pics are at the end.
