I would go with the quest 110 alty if your half handy with a grinder, its not a lot of work and if you plan to do any other electrical changes like high wattage lights or sound system you will want the extra amps. All the instructions are in this post http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10687

And i went with a 1990 Taurus fan for $20

I went with the quest fan. (just tostay nissan) For the alternator I went with the maxmia sohc, you just change the pullies and it's a direct bolt on. 90amp vs the stock 60.

I found out that the maxima reman alternator(90 amp) was cheaper than my 95 pathy reman(60 amp) at the local auto parts place! Go figure that one out!

Some would debate the issue, but anytime you remove weight that the engine has to turn you free up HP and as long as you set your thermostat and wiring up correctly you won't overheat. I've got the Taurus fan set for low speed only and have had no trouble keeping cool when running the AC while wheeling in the middle of the day in the middle of the summer in the middle of a swamp in the middle of Florida.
