jimmycapp
Hello everyone. New to the forum, I just picked up a 2004 Pathfinder SE, and just saying hello with a question. Not an off-road question... The ebrake light is always on. I took out the center counsel and pressed the switch by hand, and the light remained on. Is the light connected to anything else that would turn it on, or is it probably a bad switch? Thanks, James Edited August 22, 2007 by jimmycapp
Simon
It's not just your e-brake light, but your brake light in general. Check your brake fluid, it's probably low.
XPLORx4
It's not just your e-brake light, but your brake light in general. Check your brake fluid, it's probably low. x2. The "brake" light on the dash glows if the e-brake light is engaged or if the brake fluid level is low. If the fluid is low, it means that your brake pads and shoes may be getting close to needing replacement. Inspect the brakes to see if they need to be replaced. Also, check the color of your brake fluid. It should look like a pale ale, or at the darkest be honey-colored. If it's darker than that, you should perform a full flush and bleed when you replace the brake pads/shoes.

jimmycapp
That was it. I had checked it before, and it's not that low, but that fixed it. I think they should have put the min line a little higher Thanks alot James
