projekz
I've searched around and I found some stuff from Australia. Anything North American that would fit a 98 Pathfinder? Can I fit a 98 Frontier or Xterra 3.3L snorkel without too much modifications? Thanks
Pezzy
Vengeful has fitted the Navara (aussie frontier - you can get them @ 4x4parts.com) Snorkel to his truck, the trick is the plumbing behind the fender, matching it all up and not cutting into the unibody... There isnt a lot of room in the fender.

vengeful
There isnt a lot of room in the fender. That's an understatement! There is ZERO room in the fender...LOL.
placeandshow
Is a snorkel a highly engineered ting, or can I just make my own, like the swamp buggies do?
XPLORx4
It depends on what you want it to look like.
vengeful
If you want it to look halfway decent, and not ghetto-rigged, go with a commercially available one.
projekz
The only problem I find is that even with the snorkel, I will be limited on how deep I go because of the electronics getting wet...I guess I'd have to water proof everything.
Pezzy
it helps... how deep do you want to go? Better make sure you have paddles, life vests, and a bailing bucket!
Pezzy
lol, just saw this pic: holy freakin puddle...
projekz
I'll keep an inflatable raft on the roof bars just in case LoL. I'm surprise I made it through that "puddle" without hydrolocking... I just enjoy water more than mud. I'm not going to take it as far as those guys!!!
Pezzy
lmfao @ that vid!! Crazy!! I've done a fair amount of water crossings (apparently only got pics of a couple) The trick is to try and keep the drivers side higher if you can, and also, to create a bow wave in front of you. projekz
I like it a lot! I'll just take it easy until I get everything waterproofed...
RWC5S2
That video is insane. That ain't right. Might as well buy a submarine. Well, might be fun on a hot summer day. How do you water proof all the electronics?

vengeful
Here's an interesting thread about a lady in AU who had a Genuine Nissan (though, not a Pathfinder) snorkel fitted to her R50. http://www.pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php...asc&start=
FUELER
Wow, a whole different R50 world down under! The word "bloody" must appear at least 3 times on every page, that's pretty cool!
