As far as the plugs are concerned, many would suggest changing every other oil change, but if you end up going with NGK's Iridium, like I did, I plan on keeping them for at least 6 months before changing out. I read somewhere that they have a life time replacement? Don't remember. Wire set, has been recommended to be changed every year.

Things i would suggest to change in order to have good fuel economy:

PCV valve

O2 sensor

plugs

wire set

air filter

gas filter

clean throttle body

clean MAF sensor

change oil

use a good fuel injector cleaner

if you haven't done so, or don't remember when it was last replaced, change timing belt

thermostat

radiator hoses

upper bypass valve, look next to the distributor

cap and rotor replacement for distributor

keep tires properly inflated

change tranny fluid and filter.

I think that this is pretty much it.

i run the NGK's... pathys seem to love them... i know mine do!

well. depending on when everything SS has suggested was done.... and $$ available. i would do the following:\

o2 sensor

plugs

check the wires for wear/cuts/tears/old age lol

check distributor cap & rotor

change plugs

check ALL hoses...

change fuel filter

(a good fuel treatment i SWEAR by is lucas fuel treatment)

clean MAF

clean/change air filter (i run a K & N filter n love it)

clean/check battery leads/connections

check rad for any damage/blockages

drain & change coolant (ready fer summer)

check timing

depending how many miles i've done. i usually change my plugs every 9-12 months, unless i feel the need to change them sooner

change all belts & h2o pump & t stat (depending when they were last done)

give yer motor a good clean.. you can see anything that is amiss/busted/cracked or worn when it's clean.

....... i can't think of anything else for now...... lol!

i am anal.. i change my oil every 3k miles. my baby gurl has to work hard.....
