SC88Pathy
OK when I crank my steering to lock either direction and I hit a bump I get a grating noise. This is on the FAQ's section (here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.com/poppingfront.htm ), but guess what? The link to the fix is dead. Anyone know what Jim was refering to here? Simon
It's the lower control arm bolts that mount to the crossmember. Tighten them up to (I believe) 108 ft-lbs. Though, if the sound is heard at full lock, it's the bump stops....grease them, and it won't make the noise. govols74n
........I believe this is what you are referring to....I saved it to my puter a long time ago....the pics are below because they didn't work in the download, but the download below gives the description. yeah, at full turn it's prob the steer stops...I greased mine last year and haven't heard a peep out of them since.....but I figured I would post this anyway and there is a download at the bottom..(directions) axlenoise.htm Edited April 29, 2007 by govols74n
