Yesterday, My 95 SE v6 Pathy was acting kind of funny because last night it would not start. I will turn the key and all my electricals come on, lights everthing but nothing will turn, not even a crank. The two times that day i could start it, it would start but would be real slow to start. I also tried to have one of my buddies give me a jump that didnt work. I refilled my battery cells back to full. Im stumped , any suggestions?

Thanks

take a whirl using the search button. There are a couple of issues that may be your problem. One of the most recent to be addressed was a bad connection between the ignition switch and the starter. I believe a search on the keywork "starter" will be enlightening. Good luck and please feel free to ask for clarification on anything you find and have questions on.

ps. Welcome to the forums!

have you checked your voltages at teh solenoid on teh starter? Big red should run a constant 12V+ and the trigger should have 12V when the ignition switch is turned to the start position. I'd start there.

If the starter is good, it should work consistently if it has the right juice. Make sure it has power then you can proceed to testing it by bypassing the solenoid etc.

damn, I hate having bandaids on my fingertips (ripped off a fingernail working on the wife's van) Tyoping is a PITA!

Clean up the terminal and see if that helps.

You could also strip a "little" of the sheathing back and see if the corrosion has made its way down the cable. If it has, you can get a replacement bolt on terminal, cut out the section of cable that is bad and reconnect it.

But if the cable is corroded to far info it then just replace it since no matter if the start is good or bad you will need a new cable ;)

But I am with 88 on this, I think it is the starter as well.
