I found one similar to the one I use plugged at my AC vent, but with a better look, at

http://www.easyautopart.com/Air_Vent_Drink_Holder.html

and

http://www.autobarn.net/airvedrho.html?AID...001&PID=1476571

i bought two holders for my 95, one is the vent attached kind, and the other fastens to the e-brake. i have nothing but spillage with the vent one cause it travels up and down with the vent every time i hit a bump, so i use the e- brake one and no spillage there. got them both at Cambodian Tire for around 6 bucks.

Here was my solution for an automatic '95. It is from a Chevy SSR and costs $50 at the dealorship or about $20 off Ebay. But going off fnl's cupholder, imagine one of these bad boys screwed into the top of the face of the glovebox. That's how I would do it and I am extremely picky about my interior's functionality and much more importantly how it looks. In the location I mentioned, it would look sick as hell but you would not be able to put a cup in while your glovebox was open.

thanks for posting that. I knew someone had mounted a folding one on the side of the console but couldn't find it before my junkyard trip. Gonna keep my eyes out for a chevy next trip there.

Good luck finding an SSR in the junkyard. I have reason to believe that SSRs are simply never wrecked... only 40-50 year olds get them and how often do responsible adults get in a wreck? That and the SSR is such a low-volume truck.

The best place to find them is on Ebay. They are made by a German company called Fischer. The dealor will charge $50, you can get them by this link, or you can go to the showroom and slip one out of an SSR. It's not something a dealorship would expect so it's extremely easy. They just slip right off, no screws or anything. Just wear some cargo pants or I had the guts to just walk out with it in hand. They just don't expect it.

These are factory 1995 Pathfinder cup holders. They fit in *any* D21 or WD21 center console. You may have to remove an older factory armrest or cover before you bolt this one in. I keep napkins direcly below it in case I spill a bit.

Yeah, the factory cupholders are cheap and flimsy. You can only fit certain sized cups in there and cannot fit value sized cup (the plastic ones that get bigger at top) or soda cans. Plus, it looks stupid to have the lid open while you're driving (I'm picky though) and the passenger cannot get his out easily.

On the other hand, you have an SSR cupholder that flips out and your girlfriend mentions, "Damn that cupholder is hot." Translation: when a girl thinks your car is hot, she thinks you are hot. That is why I have a SSR cupholder... and a butterfly key since I've mentioned stuff that flips out. Girls find that sexy too.

I have these in my 300zx and i love them! i dont think its whole lot different in size. you cna either velcro or screw it to it i would think. I havent tried since mine is stuck in my car so ddo i didnt want to take it apart. Has anyone tried this? (i know its spendy but it is very comfy and ifit worked it would be great for cup holders out of the way.

just ordered one of these

lets see how good it works out

I've got a couple of those from back when I had a 93 and a 95 but there was just too much space between the seats and the console too wedge it in for a good fit. It kept tilting back to match the curve of the seat bottom so the drink wouldn't stay upright. I guess you could drill a hole in the side of the console and secure it better but it needs to move some to get access to the seat belt buckle. Just my 2 cents.

I've got one of these in my back seat, bought it at checkers I think. Let me tell ya it works quite well, although it doesn't auto adjust like the one I made for the front.
