driver side window regulator

I'm getting a new regulator as my window hasn't worked since i bought my truck about a year ago.

I was wondering if anyone has replaced their's before and how difficult it was and if anyone had any tips on doing this.

i know how to get the PITA door panel off so i'm just looking for advice for getting to and replacing the regulator.

its not hard to get the door off at all....

 

 

unscrew the armrest, slide it out

 

pop off plastic surround from around the (inside) door handle)

 

then start poping the plastic taps that surround the door and then pull up and out....(and if you have power windows and locks, pop the panel off (that has all the buttons) and disconnect)

dont force anything...they're a couple of hidden screws when you do it... i took 2 doors apart and it was pretty easy just have to take time and be careful...

Might I add to buy the special tool for taking off the plastic clips, they get very brittle and break easy. Just pulling on the panel will result in at least one broken one.

did any of you actually read what i said?

 

i have no problems getting the door panels off, i've done it several times, and that wasn't the question.

 

I asked about getting to and replacing the window regulator.... not the door panel.

hah, u said it was a PITA...and i didnt think so, so thats why i replied the way i replied...

 

but the motor is right there...basically pull it out....its easy
