unccpathfinder
theres some screws that adjust it...i'll try to find the diagram for adjusting them with refs on a wall or garage door... heres some links...pretty generic but not what i had seen in the past but should get the job done.... http://monkeycage.island4x4.com/showthread.php?t=31654 http://www.popularmechanics.com/how_to_cen...221.html?page=1 Edited November 30, 2006 by unccpathfinder
88pathoffroad
Use a Philips screwdriver and turn the headlight adjuster screws to adjust them. Look around the grille trim from the front for the screws at the top and on the side.
Casey.T
Dont torque on them, you will break the adjusting brackets off of the lens... then it wiggles annoyingly when you drive down the street.....
eglaisi_91pathy
We have a machine at work that you just place in front of the headlight, aim it in the middle of the headlight, look at the screen on the machine, and it tells you where to aim the headlights/highbeams. Way the hell better than parking 25 feet away from a wall and using tape. Just go to a local bodyshop and see if they have one, they probably would do it for you, we sure would, wouldnt charge any either. I love workin in a bodyshop, heated shop, not to mention madddd discounts on paint jobs and rust repair!!

rennwerkes
Folks, thanks for the info. Actually, was really looking for where the heck the adjusters are. Hard to see them. I try to make sure might lights are adjusted correctly and NOT blinding folks. What's up with so many trucks and SUV's with lights that are pointed straight ahead??? The worst are the ones with HID's installed and are totally blinding everyone. Don't these guys have a clue they're blinding everyone???
unccpathfinder
Dont torque on them, you will break the adjusting brackets off of the lens... then it wiggles annoyingly when you drive down the street..... a couple of balls of duct tape on the bottom and RH side will keep it from doing that...between the previous owner and my dad ramming into my truck when i was 15 all but 1 mounting spot broke and i didnt wanna spend the $ on the new assy so i balled up the tape and in 4 years it hasnt rattled since... govols74n
Can anyone offer some advice on how to adjust the headlights on my 91?TIA! 1. kick them both out and duct-tape two (3-4 D cell) maglights to the hood or bumper. 2. get night vision goggles. (expensive) 3. get one of those million watt hand held sot lights and hold it out the window like you are spotting deer. 4. listen to those other guys........
