worth it, or will it cause more damage than anything?

Great for mounting lights or knocking shopping carts out of the way. That's about it, except that model doesn't look like it has light-mounting tabs.

 

Since it mounts at the bottom only, it will bend into your bumper and grille easily with a hard hit. Don't expect it to provide any kind of decent collision protection.

I have one of these and would gladly sell it to you cheaper than that auction ended. I am selling it for $75 plus where ever you live shipping.

 

It fit my 98 path but since the bumper is more short and stout than the QX or the newer R50, this bar stuck pretty good. It does look tough.

and for $169 you can go buy the metal to fab your own bumper...

 

in all honesty - brush guard and the thing pictures in this thread will only cause more damage in an accident and it TAKES AWAY ground clearance!!!!
