kevs03pathy
I just got a set of 15x8 rims to replace the 17" rims I have on my 03 pathfinder. They have a 3.5" back spacing and I have an OME 2" lift with about 1" spacer on top of that. What do you think is the bigggest tire I can get away with. I'm thinking a 32x9.5 because I don't want them to stick out to far. I think with the 3.5" back space a 10.5 might stick out to far? Also if I put on the 15's will I get a constant tire low light from changing over. I'm guessing the sensors are in the wheels?
Hatteras
Hi, I don't know about the tire pressure monitors, but do the 15x8 wheels fit over your hubs and disks? David
kevs03pathy
They fit up front so I 'm guessing they will fit in the back. I don't think the drums are any bigger than the disks?
tmorgan4
15" should fit the newer ones just fine.
Trainman
The 17"s where just bling anyway. There has been some discussion on if 15" can be used to replace the 16" on the 01s and newer, guess they can
Trainman
Also if I put on the 15's will I get a constant tire low light from changing over. I'm guessing the sensors are in the wheels? Have you looked at the wheels to see if there is any sensor? On our '04 Sienna, it uses the ABS sensors to determine low air. Maybe the Pathy is the same (do not know as my 02 does not have a tire monitoring system). As long as they are all the same, why would the computer care what size the wheel/tire combo is? kevs03pathy
Thanks I'll take a look. Anyone have an idea on tire size? I will probably have the tire shop mount one anyway but I thought if someone had a simular set up they could give me an idea of what to go for. 98r50
I run 32" 11.50's and like the stance of my truck with the wider tires. I run a 15 x 8 with 3.75 b.s. so yours should be pretty similar.
kevs03pathy
Thanks, is there any way you could post a front and side pic for me?

kevs03pathy
Thanks, looks good. If you could get a front view showing how your tire sticks out from the flare that would be great. I think your flares are wider than the ones on my 03 but it will give me a better idea.

RWC5S2
I got steel rims in a 15x7 size and put 33x9.5 BFG AT's on my 03 Pathfinder. Only have to trim a bit of the inner wheel well plastic off to keep from rubbing. The work just great for every thing but deep sand. You can see the pics on this forum under "33"s on my Pathfinder. The 15 inch rims are not a problem. I could not fit the 32x10.5 in the rig due to the wider tires rubbing every where. I also did the AC lift. They work great. dieselmunk
now does that $2000 include gas and hotels from florida to colorado? j/k with tires that big you would have to regear, and if you're going to tear into the gears, you might as well put air lockers on... the list goes on. tmorgan4
I DO have front and rear lockers sitting in the garage...
dieselmunk
I HATE YOU!!! i'll have to wait until i get my tax return for new tires, but as soon as the lift is ready let me know.
kevs03pathy
Thanks for all the replies,I think I'll try the 32x10.5. My OME lift seems to be a lot less than the AC lift so we'll see what happens.

dkpath96
Hey max, what were the backspacings on the 15x8 tires? I'm assuming the 15x7's were stock wheels...
