  1. hmmm... not to many diesels owners here - as the majority of us are from North America. Have you checked out this site: http://pcoa.org.au/forum/index.php A lot of R51 owners on that board.
  2. /\ good point... they have had some quality & timing issues in the past... Some people havent had as many issues... anywho - buyer beware.
  3. The bolt is actually into the metal behind the plastic, I found a hole there where a bolt the same size as the one that holds the stock loop in threads in perfectly. As you mentioned, The shelf is somewhat L shaped, so the lip is at the back, nothing ever falls forward into the passenger area... things sometimes fall backwards when I am wheeling, I have a couple bungee cords across the back now, but something usually falls anyway. Most of the stuff up there is pretty light, spare coat, rain jacket, bug jackets, tarp, blanket... I have a couple heavier things like the hand held CB, First Aid Kit, and another set of jumpercables... but like I said it always falls out the back, into the cargo area.
  4. Yup, that's where I stole the idea, it's much easier in the Xterra, but meh, I got it done, and I have a lot of stuff up there!! I love it! (I only wish it looked as neat & tidy as it does in my pic above! lol
  5. Closer to the front of the truck, it's thru the little stock loop I had to drill thru the plastic, and make a loop of sorts for the other support
  6. Hey now, I can delete that post... and mine where I was hallucinating certain QX4 parts if you prefer?!
  7. I voted: Road-side emergency kit I have a set of jumper cables, a can of WD40, gloves, a tire iron, the kit for my #6 spark plug.
  8. Fell off the face of the planet!

  9. up to no good!! ;)

  13. Well, as far as being able to see, it looks to be pretty much in the same place that vengeful's is... I dont think his bother's his. I guess we'll have to ask Bobby when he installs his, if he can see it from his pass side.
  14. I just shouldn't travel alone... more times than not I get the grill from customs.
  15. I was on my own, heading from Toronto to PA to go wheeling @ the NorEaster... (hence the back seats down, and full of stuff) I was asked to go into the building, where I was questioned, then I was hauled into a room where they questioned me more, and scared the crap out of me, after I drove the path into a garage for them to take the dog thru it. Was good times.
  16. And if they dont find it, their dogs will. I heart customs.
