Well, suprisingly, the parts came in from AC on Friday (we ordered them Tuesday!! wow!! ) So we took the truck to the dealership yesterday, with expectations that they could do it Monday... (It's 85 km's from our place, and well worth the drive - this dealership is beyond AWESOME!) Well, the tech there said he might be able to do it that day, he would let me know... so we stuck around (having the hubby's windsheild replaced) and sure enough he managed to squeeze it in!!) Very impressed!! Got about 3" lift - I can't believe how different it feels to be 3" higher!! Very excited!! Next Saturday we pick up the tires.... it looks downright silly now on stock tires! should I post pics now?? whattaya think???

my tape deck has John Prine in it, the CD player I think is empty, but last I remember it was the Best of the Cure.

Ordered: One Lift for Pezzy's Pathy (AC 2" Lift) (YAY!) In preparation, is there anything I can do to make the entire process easier? I am likely having the work done for me, but I want to make it go as easy as possible... I know when the X guys order their lifts they start spraying the bolts in hopes they will come free easy... Sooo.... is there anything I can do? What, where, when, how... *insert endless dumb questions here* Tonight we go tire shopping. (double YAY!)
-
not sure... mine came 'sans' step rails if theyre anything like the Xterra's - it's a matter of removing a few bolts... and theyre pretty light... It's suggested that once you remove them to place the bolts back on the truck, so the holes dont get full of crud & whatnot, which makes it easier for when you put them (or others) back on...

Rack and Suspension Lift and Brakes
Pezzy replied to CanadianPathyNut's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
hehehe... yup - she was offroad once... got VERY stuck very fast... had to get tugged out. Regardless, I think I did a pretty good job not getting stuck sooner, and also being able to do a 74392 point turn on the trail to get back out! We were looking for a spot to camp... we had the pathy instead of the X, as it was a NON OFF ROAD weekend... Vengeful - it might be worth the drive!! We have friends in Rochester that come up to go wheeling a few times a year... we also head down there a few times for mod days. (cuz shipping to Canada SUCKS!) -
I only have a couple small mods: Maglights & fire extinguisher on the back gate: GPS mount, Cell phone holder & CB Install: Cargo Area Liner on the floor, cargo net, bins & tool boxes all packed neatly across the back. Sgt Lobo Shelf

Racks: I dont know the Garvin ones... but I love mine... got it from crappy tire last year for $250.00... I also got the net & an extension for it... Find it here... Sorry to (mostly) everyone else, it's only avail in Canada. (that's a first!) -
Good to hear! Thanks for the input!!

rats. anyone have a magnifying glass I can use to see if I uploaded the right pic to my avatar?

And Pezzy brings a thread back from the dead... hi! I've been tire shopping - almost bought the BFG AT K/O's last night - but we have someone willing to help us out in a huge way (read: discount yum!) on Bridgestone tires... So now we're looking at a set of Bridgestone AT Revos... DJ Dank, It's been a year since you posted - I'm wondering how your opinion of your tires is holding...

another forum I am on is 80x80 but this site now lists 64x64 maximum... ??? I saved the file at 100 pixels - but it automatically shrinks it... I only thought it odd, as my old avatar was much bigger than that. Now I have a postage stamp. I tried both uploading from my computer, and also linking to the image on my website.
-
Quick Question: has the size limit changed on the avatars? I decided to revise mine, and now I have this teenie weenie avatar...

My Hubby is hinting A LOT to get a snorkel for the X, maybe if we get one, We'll have a looksie at the pathy to compare and see how "possible" it would be... That is, if I let him get one... hehehe... his b-day is in May - so I wouldnt have anything until at least then.
-
dunno if this will help - it's from an Xterra, but they may be similar... In the end he ended up getting new parts...
-
Well, like I said - we will be in that area in July... in Paragon on the 22nd, and Rausch Creek the 23/24th. There is some chatter about going down a few days earlier and spending a few days in Paragon, as the 22-24th is only for Xterra's - and our pathy & fronty members want to have some fun too...
-
unfortunately, no. *pouts*

Help ! Coolant Leak/ Water Pump failure ???
Pezzy replied to IndianRider's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Did you get your pathy from the dealership? I'd say bring it back to them & have them fix it. -
Well, I sent the boy a link to this event... so the hint is in! If we did come, it would likely be one truck, as 2x the gas = $$$$$ My stockasarus truck needs tires, which it wont be seeing until fall-ish.
-
Rats - why must I be so darn far?? Rauch creek is a pretty good place, we spent two days wheeling there last year - and will be there again in July for ECXC (East Coast Xterra Challenge)... pics here: http://www.muddynissan.com/photos/ECXC04thfr/ http://www.muddynissan.com/photos/ECXC04sat/

we have a member in the Xterra club with one on his X... we like to call it the ghetto snorkel.
-
my tastes are a lot like that too I have John Hiat in the CD Player now... tape desk is still Tom Petty
-
98Chilkoot - also have a look at the thread titled "Rubbing" I have pics there of my hubby trimming to fit 32's on a newly lifted pathy

That's funny... I don't pack like that.
