Thanks Ty ,if you still like the finished product can work something out . Were both on thier just not a lot , i have a look and a couple of comments but not a regular like here . Can put the R50 sliders build-up thread on thier as well . These Sliders are being built to what Jasun wants ! , so the plans can get changed for different specs . Jasun is his forum name and mines Cyril . Does PCoA need a donation too .

Cheers ,The Sliders will be fully welded but will be bolted to the Pathy for removal when not needed . They will have 4 attachment points with the 3 OME mounts and an extra 1 between the first and second mounts area . Cheers , Yes it is . Cheers , the first pic does'nt show the other plate welded on the other side . It's both 6mm plate with 40sq x 4 ( will be fully welded ) with 10mm 8.8 grade bolts also through the 6mm plates front front to back . Agree that SQ is stronger than plate but with the use of 6mm plate and 40SQ x 4 and only 150mm long will be impressed if it bends . Was going to use the three mounts and add a 4th between the first and second position . Thanks for the pics , nice sliders . Yes it is a full wrap around bracket out of 6mm plate and will be bolted through the mount 2 bolts through and the original 2 bolts up . With 40SQ x 4 side arms and 50SQ x 5 slider and still to be done tube for the side rail ( 32NB ) Will keep this updated with pics .

G'Day all R50 owners , Have been building these for a fellow Pathy owner and was wondering what your opinion was . Sorry about the pics it's just been in the last week ( last sat ) . Cheers , Cyril

Howdy Dave , How you been mate ?
-
Nick , The R50 that is here has 3 mounts . First is near the front wheel , second about 2/3 back ( a two step bolt bracket ) and the third is near the rear wheel . The 4th will be put at the angled section between the first and the second OME mounts . Kind of hard to explain , as it comes together will do pics . If yours does'nt have the last support then 38NB with 3.2mm wall thickness should help you . Cheers , Cyril

I'm building one piece at a time and will end up with a set of drawings in the end . It will be finished before Christmas as the owner has left his R50 here for me to work on it till thier done . Also from the previous pics you can see that in the new year i'll be really busy with that project gutting a GU and then gutting a GQ and putting all the GU parts under the GU . If your not back on before then enjoy your trip and best wishes .

Some pics from today . The GU Patrol in the morning . The engine g/box and transfer still all connected . Trying to lower the front with some extra weight Almost thier http://i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff323/cyril-74/regconv029.jpg' alt='regconv029.jpg'> The mate is stocked with the motor out and with the fact that it's the biggest thing he's had between his legs . And starting the R50 Sliders .

You can get a bit more if you remove the bolts to the swaybar or if thats allready done you could use a 6ft piece of pipe and lever it between the under part of chassis and on top of the tire to push it down .

Good to hear your on a break , Your welcome to do the suspension lift here but will have to fit it in between removeing a 4.2 Patrol motor ( all mechanicals ) and a D22 Navara bodylift ( 40mm ) and a set of sliders for an R50 , so one more 4by would be a quinella .
