heres my amps and distrobution block in the back storage area of the '97. I went with functionality over looks for now, oh and that 0 gauge cable going into the distro and 4 gauge going to each amp.

the one problem we frequently run into with the bose amp integration harnesses is that soon after installing a new head unit while integrating the factory amps, one of the amps goes bad, or a set of speakers goes bad, usually due to a higher range of volume and eq/crossover control offered by the aftermarket radio...basically im saying there is a higher rate of failure with factory nissan bose speakers/amps when you add an aftermarket radio to it, just so you know...

actually im in west chester, about 10 min. from delaware (which is where i bought the pathy)

basically what im asking is should i keep the tiny brand new tires on stock rims until i can afford new wheels/tires at once, or swap the stock wheels with slightly bigger tires from the '93, then get new wheels on the 9.50x15s, then different tires last...get it?? i think im confusing myself

The new '97 came with brand spankin new 235/70/15 Michelin something or other all seasons, i have the paperwork saying they were $600 new. The old '93 has 30x9.50x15 cooper discoverer ast's, which are a bigger tire with more aggressive tread then the michelins, but have had 14,000 miles put on them in the last 3 years. Now i will not have money for new tires probably until the early summer, and i want to go bigger with different wheels which hopefully i will be able to buy in the next month, so my question is...should i simply swap the wheels and tires from the '93 to '97, then buy new wheels for the coopers until i can get bigger tires?? Also will a 9.50x15 be okay on a 15x8" wheel? Or do i just suck it up and deal with the puny michelins on stockers until i can buy new wheels/tires at the same time?? I don't want to spend the money to have someone swap just the tires between the two trucks and leave the stock wheels. Any opinons?? ""edit"" im right outside of philadelphia, pa, and we are just starting to get some snow, hopefully lots more

it definitely hit something, maybe lightly tapped another bumper, the front is slightly uneven...check the d.s. headlight

thats what i thought, but some other little things came up today. Turns out both cvs are torn and there is a small oil leak that seems to be coming from the oil pan. The bottom of the alternator has a good amount of oil on it, and i took off the plastic front skidplate and the steering components had a small coating too. These aren't too major, its getting an clean up tomorrow and then inspected.

im right outside philadelphia, pa...kbb on the truck was around 6, the people i bought it from put some money into it and were going to give it to their 17 year old son, but he didn't want it - he wanted a civic, so they just wanted to sell it and recoup some of their losses

im sorry to all the wd owners but the r50 (to me) is just overall a better vehicle. I understand that there are more lift and part options for wd21's, but aside from that every single thing on the '97 is superior to my '93 and my old '88. I am gonna miss the 5 speed, on the way home after purchasing it my left foot and right hand did not know what to do! i loved my other pathy's, and im happy to have a newer one. Going from the '93 which had a 5 speed, manual windows, manual locks, horrible heat/air, doors that let air blow in, windows that rattled around when down halfway, interior spare tire carrier that ate the whole damn trunk, tons of electrical gremlins, and frame rot. The '97 has power windows, locks, mirrors, hidden stc, more power, much better dash layout, real cupholders, and in my opinion much better looks. I will always remember the 88 and 93, but i look forward to the evolution of my r50. BTW all three pathys were/are my daily driver, so all the little creature comforts make a huge difference to me!

insurance totalled my '93 xe and cut me a check for $3100...i was really looking for a frontier but there are not many used clean cheap ones around, so i did some searching and ended up buying a '97 pathy xe with 113,000 for $4500. I have only had it for 2 hours and i LOVE IT. Way better than the '93 (which was a 5 speed no power anything). I am really just happy to have power windows , but the extra power of the 3.3 is nice, and i love the overall look of the truck. They were asking $5200, i went to look at it and found some little things wrong - pass. side corner light was out, pass side foglight was out, front speakers were blown, couple scratches here and there, but they had just recently replaced the timing belt and water pump, along with 4 brand new crappy all seasons. i got them down to $4500 and paid in cash. Sorry for the rant but im really excited to have another pathy...pics will come tomorrow after work. One question though...the ac/heat only works on the highest setting, nothing comes out of the vents on any of the lower ones, anyone have any ideas?? thanks for bearing with me, pics to follow!!!!!!!

Some late info...Most Nissans use the antenna as the ground for the radio. The aftermarket harness should have a ground wire coming out of it not attatched, a black wire with a spade terminal on the end. Most aftermarket radios will turn on if you use the factory metal brackets which essentially ground the radio when you screw the brackets in, but not have enough of a good ground to power the internal amp on the radio, or even send a strong enough signal to turn on the factory amp. The diversity antenna is a as stated in earlier posts a seperate am and fm tuner going into one antenna plug, so the antenna adapter and/or a solid other ground for the radio along with the amp turn on lead if you have a factory amp is all you need to do...maybe someone will find this useful in the future

i would have loved to put the spare on a roof rack or even get a rear tire carrier...but dd+no money+ rent= spare stays where it is...the plan now is to get an r50, and i know those never had interior spares, i need room for the audio gear

MTX mounted towards the back of the back seat, the rear seats were still able to recline, and only one foot on the amp did not fit on the board, so i used a self tapping screw to secure it to this
