There are some aftermarket tire carriers that mount with little modification, but they are expensive. Ah well....whish it coulda worked 4 ya.

I tried to use the calculator thing.. problem being I have NEVER known what speeds to gear to rpm I have been going..except for 65mph with 225/75/15 tires in 5th gear @ 3,000rpm I was doing 65. Other than that.. I am CLUELESS!!! I usually guestimate, but can not afford to do that anymore and need almost or precise speeds now with the 31's. Why Lord oh why must we have allllllll lifted trucks here at home????

Give in and give your $$ to the stealership I guess..... :furious:

OK. So, I finally did it! I got my 31's mounted n on the Pathy yesterday, after some finagaling. The tires I put on (not the Kirklands I got for $100) were off my bf's brother's Suburban that he yanked the motor from. The are as new Michelin LT's, and are purrrrrrrrrrfect. 31x10.5x15. Mounted them on the 4 rims I got for $40 and painted black May 1st. I am stoked. Little rubbing on the rear of the front fender flare..but I fixed the front with a little help from a sawzall..god I love those things! Problem.... My speedo has been broke since I got the Pathy..and with the smaller tires I USED to know how fast I was going by rpm/gear. Can anyone help me by letting me know what speeds, gear & rpm's they are doing at 30mph, 35mph, 40mph and 65mph??? I would be really really really grateful!! We don't have one dayum truck here that has an accurate, or functional speedo!! And now, with the 31's, I have no clue how fast I am going. BTW. I have a 4 door, 5 SPEED, 92 Pathy. Any help would be appreciated! Here are some pics I took today with my Pathy's new shoes on. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/pathy4x4/det...357.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/pathy4x4/det...aa3.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/pathy4x4/det...f1a.jpg&.src=ph

8 bolts and her in...plus the 2 bottom brackets. nothing major..and you should be fine installing it...I didn't notice any "special" reinforcements when I took it off.

ACK!!!!!!!!! I looked on mapquest and Moss Landing is 122 miles EACH WAY from me.... WHUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :sniff:
-
Good catch! glad you got the right ones installed in the end...no more squeaks..mmmm....glorious huh?
-
hmm.. my Pathy pulls to the right.. but I know the bj's have been replaced in her previous "life".....mebbe I'll check again after installing my 31's...

Hope there's like a rocker guard for the bottom of the winch er somethin? kudos to you on the new ride!
-
Yeah.. I ALMOST had the heart to email him and tell him to retract the ad.... guess he has ESP?
-
well... though Centerforce is a good clutch...depending on how much money you have to blow...and how hard on clutches you are... The CF II for my Pathy..Summit wanted $437 (to include TO bearing) and so I cruised down to Kragen, and got a heavy duty OEM clutch for $178. (incl. TO bearing). The clutch is good and strong..and cost half of what the CF did. I do a lot of town driving, and I wheel as well..and I have found my OEM clutches to be sufficient. in the end...it's up to you.

I am leaving the tire carrier off. I like the way my 4 door looks without it. Might even go faster too! LOL. whatcha offerin for it? it's in perfect condition. With or without the spare?? which still has cover. :type:
