IFS sucks I cannot lay time and effort into IFS lift on the front to have it blow apart when driving causing more damage. I am just gonna search the SAS suspension and do it and if i cannot find the SAS within an alloted time frame. I thinki may sell the 87 Pathfinder i gotz and just get a mid sized jimmy that has the sas leaf action. I hate to do this but the Pathfinder has been an experience for me. I love the body look but hate the IFS/ V6 engine and thats about it. Those are 2 of the hardest things to deal with. Possibly may keep the 87 and just shove it in a shop and do a rip to the frame redo to what i really want. Who knows 88 you got me rethinking everything again -thnkboutit-

From looking at your bent a arms 88/ Wondering if welding gussets making them really solid would solve the problem? I am going to get an extra set from the wreckers and see but i wanted the 3 inch lifty ones? So i guess AC is out for me/ Whats the next best thing the calmini ones? And do calmini sell just the A arm 3 inch lift in front. Dayum i was gonna do the lift this week coming up/ got the GJC speings GRrrrrrrrrrr WOW man i just noted the crack on the upper a arm...... That is really freaking scarey. But still wonder what reinforcing a set of them a arms underneath with heavy plate and restrengthning them in all the weak areas would do? What else would bust apart in place of the weak line of links?

I meant to get out and sleep in the rear of my Pathfinder but to no avail this year.. I had a VW van i lived out of in a back yard once for 8 months/ $50 dollars a month rent and use of house.. Was winter and was kinda nice. Nailed more women in that van than in my entire existance.... It was a chick magnet. I think i destroyed the suspension in that 8 months. lol

Well a chevy 350 with auto tranny is the simplest for me. I know that engine inside out.. Just hope the tranny will fit good under the path? Worst thing is i want the steering auto shift not floor so this could make some serious complictaions. I am gonna do it none the less if the buyer comes for the engine! If not later this year and will sell the engine tranny exhaust sure that will not be hard to move. I am seeking the SAS parts out as of now so if anyone comes across the gear please drop me a line...

Look at the starter and see how gucky it is under the oil filter/ then look at the connections make sure they are not bare and groundin the body... or the positive is grounding your oil filter and arcing a hole in it... possible burning smell

Are you talking about the roof light bar? Yeah i have seen none of those in my travels. What are those worth if found?

Yeah getting set for the next weekend for the big lift.. Need the GJC springs first while im at it also shock change and alll the other little things. I saw a link long ago of a guy who crammed a 383 into his pathinder like ours. Looked hot had SAS and a moster lift like yourzzz. Looks like a jizz fest cannot wait.

Rear enders really really lick. Pay that one off or insurance will be killer for a long time. Just hope no one claims MY NECK MY NECK... I had this happen and it took me 4 ever to get back to a normal insurance rate. Almost not worth driving when you pay clo pssd se to $500 a month

Dayum doode that sucks... One of the major reasons to get a HD bumper made by me. You do the damage to others not get the damage done to you! Also thinking of blasting up some frame stiffners.... Looks like some good damage. :confused:

Front needs a jack/ remove the tires. Easier.... You should try the starter.... It will blow a mind....

I am creating a sluuuu of different designs for the pathfinders. Hopefully i can just rely on making these for the rest of my life. Just got to make sure they work on every other SUV on the market.... :bow: for the money

Remove the battery to make room unless you have small hands.... Well you really do not have to remove it but i did made my life easier... Im mr big hands I had a hellofatime getting the starter out of the peehole it gave me to remove! Hey 88 if you selling your old tires i will take them off you? I need some used meety tires asap!

Okay i got a buyer for my 1987 V6 Pathfinder engine & 5 speed tranny. So i am thrown into an oblivion of what engine is gonna work also switching to an auto tranny? I need some opinions asap cuz i am seeking the easiest flip flop switch. I am definately gonna have to fab the fart out of the engine mounts ect wiring harness (electrical) but what would work and fit without to much hacking? I want at least a 350ci engine.. I have V6 exhaust thats brand new also that is up for grabs.... Dunno if buyer wants it also? I just got because when i re-did my starter i realized someone raped my tool collection and i had to call 15 people to bring me what i needed!!!! I had to trouble shoot my starter One night home it just went crazy! Fired up fine parked it 5 hours later started up sounded like the battery was going bad! Double checked with a new battery (buddies) nothing same effect. Cleaned all the greasy wires/ still nothing... I felt it was the starter... Changed it and BAZAAAM it was the starter! Not a fun Job manual was not very helpfull, and i chaged the oil at the same time oil filter had to come off.. NOTE REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN DOING THIS JOB

Just did my starter and it sucked the biggest bawls ever! oh by the way selling my old one for 45 bucks for a rebuild! Considering the autowreckers are 100 bucks for a used(not knowing what your getting) and the 2 places i looked new were 275 and 320- WOW not cheap parts! So a used STARTER for sale here for 45 bucks with a working solonoid So so so tight to get in and out. 88pathoffroad What are the exact name of tires on the Pathfinder you have... Where do i order them from? I am seeking a set for my new vehicle soon!

I found a complete 87 Pathfinder at a local wreckers better than the one i drive... I noted it had 95 rims on it? I had to have them so went and pulled thew off today with a set of BFGoodRich trail A/T's with 50% ish tread left for 100 bucks! My 87 Pathfinder looks sporty and new now! here is a link to the rims what they look like exactly!the rims

87 Pathfinder has the non lego rims... But the regular steel rims 15 inch. I like the newer ones 93-96 i think it is the bubbly type. Yeah i know mr jims are aftermarket wondered what they were worth? I may just wait till i can sell the 31 BFG muds and then get some like 88offroad's tires and then seek rims! sly

Hey i might be selling my T/A Mud Terrains BFgoodrichs 31inchers on the stock rims off the 87 I wanna go 33inchers soon with some new rims Bigger is Better thats what my Girlfriend says..... Oh 88offroad what brand of rim you running and your tires what they worth? Might just be a -> c o p y c a t <- and do your Pathfinder idenitcal LOLOL
