  1. I actually want to change my lights to work off the fog light switch too, it will make it easier to turn off when there's oncomming traffic.

I've already got mine wired to accessory switches in the centre dash, so I may wire so that the fog light switch simply powers the switches, and will esentially turn off the lights when turned off.

  2. What's the wattage of the piia's?

If they're 55 watts, and you're just using the swith for the 2 of them, then you should be able to wire it up directly.

If you want to hook up more lights, you can do the exact same setup, except you'll have to wire up some relays under the hood.

You'll have to use the fog light harness to trigger the relay instead of directly to the lights, and then let the relay feed battery power to the lights.

  3. lol, it's still sitting in my driveway for sale!

I switched to the X because (to me, no hating here! lol) it had more potential.

I had all the steel cut and ready to do the subframe drop, but then switched gears mid-stride.

I've stipped the R50 back down to only having the 2" lift and rear bumper, asking $2000 now for it, paying only for the bumper and lift/struts/shocks, and getting a free truck with it.

I'd split it up $1000 for the truck / $1000 for the bumper if someone was really interested.

  4. But what are they going to scam in this situation? All their doing is getting people to sign a release waiver for their videos, which effectively gives them (whoever that may be) free license to do what they want with the video. Unless there are clauses hidden in the contract, the worst that could happen is they get "scammed" into allowing someone else to use their video. There are no bank account numbers, payments, or promises to pay or recompense involved.

I still think the email sent out looks amateur hour, and my gut reaction is the marketing firm gave the job to an unsupervised intern to complete. I'm not in marketing, but I've worked in several public accounting firms, and if I sent an email even closely resembling that to a client or potential client (or anyone for that matter) I would have been skinned alive.

We were sitting here chatting about that, and what if you've given them free reign to use that video for whatever they want, and they turn around and use your video to prove to congress that 4 wheeling should be banned and illegal and it destroys the environment.

I know that statement sounds stupid, but I've just got the "what-if" attitude when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I'm not feeling very optimistic about it, I hope that I'm wrong and look forward to seeing a great pathfinder video!

  5. thanks for the link, morpheus. i don't know why or how i couldn't find that.

damn, that bumper looks so dope. how heavy are these bumpers? is it something that would need stiffer springs or will the stock springs and better shocks/struts be ok? i ask this because i don't plan on lifting my truck.

my reasoning for this bumper would mostly be because i always enjoyed having the stock steel bumpers on my old WD21. i don't really care that i've already put some scratches on my R50 bumper now, but having a steel bumper is always nice. :D

adam, aren't the ARB bumpers heavier than the KMAs? from the looks of it, it would appear to be. the KMA doesn't look as "heavy duty" as the ARB does, especially since i would be more interested in getting a winchless, basic bumper kind of like what morpheus has.

these bumpers definitely have piqued my interest, especially for the rear. getting a full bumper with a tow hitch attached sounds awesome to me! anyone know if the wiring is included, needs to be done, or if there's even a spot for it if my truck doesn't have a hitch yet?

sorry to threadjack, OfftourRoadie. your mods have definitely garnered some serious interest from me. haha.

I was able to move the bumper around by myself, weight wise. On an install you'd need 2 guys to line everything up.

As for strength, I nailed mine pretty hard on the driver side, at the bottom (you can probably see it in the pic) and it only left a little battle scar. Definatly heavy duty.

Did you get rid of the R50 Morpheus?...

Nope, still stitting in my driveway with a forsale sign in it, complete with AC 2" lift and bender built rear bumper.. know anyone looking?

  6. I hate to be the voice on the other side, but how does that saying go...

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

In this day and age, with all the scams, etc.. going on, I hope this is all legit, not something that will come back to bite people in the bum.

  7. Also looks like it is almost 2" to far forward.

That's the way they designed it.. Makes for a perfect place to sit on the front of the truck!

So these things are only mounted up with 6 bolts? Thats all?

I thought the same thing, I welded mine onto the frame after bolting it in place. Guaranteed no movement.

looks sweet! doesn't look like KMA makes one for the 2G R50s or does this fit as well? not a bad price either.

    It's on a different page: http://www.kenmtnac.com/WinPat9904.html

  8. Same bumper as I got, ended up transferring it over to the xterra when I bought it.

I absolutly love it too, much better looking than an ARB

Only 3 months wait? That's not bad at all. Hopefully KMA has sorted out their supply issues, I think mine was 4-5 months, some people have waited even longer.

  9. Cat converter codes can be caused by a lot of things, but the main items are:

    1) (obvious) cat converter is dead

    2) o2 sensors not operating properly

    3) fuel injector leaking

    4) leaking exhust

As long as you know you have no exhaust leak, use the scanner to check your o2 sensor effeciency.

An o2 can be working to the point it does not trigger a code, but it might be slow, or "lazy", and R50's eat o2 sensors, so...

then grab an additive from an auto parts store that specifically states for cleaning cat/converters, and have your fuel injectors flushed.

see how it goes after that.

  10. IMO, a locked diff, front or rear, would not give you desirable effects in the snow.

Locked diff's, lincoln locked, or other method are meant for traction where one tire has little traction, and the other wheel has lots of traction.

unless one tire is on ice, and the other is on tarmac, a locked diff will not help you in snow conditions.

  11. Hell, lets say I start selling coffee mugs that say Pathfinder and have a picture of one and some others that just have the nissan logo. So what!! Are they selling mugs?? Noooo!! They shouldn't care one bit!! Hell, they might even say hey, that's great!! Free advertisement!! Can we buy some?? Any quantity discounts?? Any discounts because we are Nissan?? If they realized you we making a tidy sum and that the coffee mug business would fall hand in hand with making cars, they could offer to buy you out.

  12. Got this today:

Please be advised, the radiator warranty extension pertaining to 2005~2010 Frontier, Pathfinder and

Xterra also applies to US vehicles. To confirm US vehicle VINs for eligibility, refer to Service Comm.

also as far as the transmissions:

Also, when submitting a radiator assembly claim with consequential parts or labour, please add these

additions to the one Work Order line with the radiator assembly as the PFP (primary failed part). This will

    help expedite the claims process.

  13. I had a conversation with my nissan rep. He heard about the extension the same way I did, and had no furthur information than what I already had. He's going to forward my questions and get back to me.

His feeling was, that this was started as a "customer service/satisfaction" extension, so it would most likely also cover the transmission costs, but he instructed me to wait till the re-imbursement information came out, and it would have all the information we needed.
