What are the chances my 1990's have at least one broken stud?
*grins slightly* Still not 100% sure what I'm looking at in that picture, but when it comes time to do my headers I guess I'll learn
Chances are pretty high.
Diagrams are fun... FSMftw

hi. do you know why indiana is so far south? hehehe
I give up.

I'm confused... just what studs are you talking about guys?
The studs that hold the exhaust manifold to the head... On the side of the motor. It's like a double sided bolt.
In every way I've looked, I still can find a way to drill out my 1 broken stud while it's still in the truck (P-side furthest back). How hard are the heads to remove?
Mines, not ticking yet, but I'm sure the manifold will work loose eventually.

Thanks all.

I apologize for not making it clear. It will BLOW you out of the truck...as far as CFM's is concerned. The air temperature is the issue. If sitting still it will warm up a little bit, but once you go down the road it cant keep up. Not 100% sure if the temperature of the air changes I dont think it does, but more or less just cant keep up with the cold outside. If that makes sense.
Do you have it set for "recirculate"?
It maybe kind of a newb observation, but with it getting colder when you accelerate, it sounds like you might be trying to warm up air that you're drawing in from outside.
Or not. I dunno... But a second look beats getting into the t-stat anytime.

My current is white, but my first two were red/maroon.

Where'd the plastic tank come from, if you don't mind my asking? It uses the stock mounting points?
Links and pics would be good.

Hi!
I’m new to NPORA (though I've been lurking on and off for a couple of years), but not to Pathfinders or Nissan forums in general. I've been around the Nissan scene for some time now, mostly with B13s.
I just bought my 3rd Pathfinder. I had a lot of trouble with my first two, but always loved the trucks themselves and had a blast introducing my family to off-roading with the second.
The "new" one is a 95 XE that needs a lot of work, but seems like a solid platform.
First and foremost, it'll need exhaust work. I've already found 1 broken manifold stud that'll have to be extracted from the head and replaced a second that tried.
Also the gauges aren’t working. A problem I haven’t been able to track down yet.
Once the majors are done, I hope to be able to get to the goodies, like a suspension lift, roof rack and ARB bumper.
I’d like to say thank you in advance to everyone here. As I said, I’ve been around for a while, and the site has always been very helpful with whatever problem I’ve had.

Looks good. Is there a specific reason for the drive shaft hoop or is it just for general safety?
