  1. search forums for owners manuals.. there are links to online books somewhere here although not sure if they are the 4cyl type as they are super rare here in the states. almost all of us have a gas v6 engines (vg30)
  2. search the forums for JCG coils and torsion bar cranks for some ideas on how to deal with those subjects. pinging = out of time.. most likely. possibly low on oil? oh, and welcome.

  5. well, it sounds like maybe you ought to address the CPOS issue. otherwise look for the other thread that dealt with weard idle.. not sure what the solution was, if any.

  8. there are a bunch of hardbody dudes on AC and NOR. ok. km and can$.. i guess that's not so bad then.
  9. sounds high for such a beater.
  10. yeah, they really don't do much but check stuff and if it's bad then they charge you extra for it.. however, if youre still under warranty have them do it otherwise you may nullify the warranty.
  11. in my old truck the line sprung a leak and wouldn't get the fluid to the window.
  12. yeah or turn the screw on ecu to clear. no need to pay someone to do that man.

    somebody here just did the switch replacement.. find it, i don't think it's that hard.. it wasn't on my other vehicles. you can probably even get the switch itself at a local parts store for a fraction of the stealer's cost.

    is the selenoid integral to these starters? i've done the procedure with my ford starters (separate selenoid) and it has always worked.. the only thing that you can't tell is the amount of torque put out without putting it on a testing machine (autozone) the bendinx should kick out and spin though. is the hot wire directle attached to the starter or is there a fusable link inline?

  18. lol. i got the ghosts in mine too. i normally leave the key in it, in the garage. a few days back i went in there and the truck was locked :o glad i have a spare in the house..
  19. sometimes the guages do go out. check the rpms with another meter and see if is all ok.

    the spark is kind of normal but you would have done well to bench test the new one.. you just never know about the "new" parts these days. you probably should have had the starter do something though.. hmm? look at jj's post and follow the links. time to get the multi meter out and start fishing. good luck.
