  1. My stock carrier has 18 years on it... cept for a little rust, nothing is wrong with it... *runs off to find some wood to knock on*

    LPG Topic

What do you guys think of LPG and is it even available in the US? I've read some pros and cons based on the fuel saving tips thread... any more discussion you'd all like to add?
  3. I would like to appologize to Josh - I recieved the spoiler and hinges + console today. Sadly, the center console wont' fit (doh, my dumb) but the spoiler and hinges are on and the truck looks beautiful. Thanks a bunch Josh - if possible, could a moderator delete this topic? I'll PM him my thanks
  4. I actually can't... I don't know why but AIM won't run on my computer. Maybe it has something to do with me uninstalling Spyware... *chuckles* Just kidding, but Trillian has always been easier for me since I can use it on ANY pc in the world that has a USB slot thanks to my U3 drive
  5. Just use a paperclip and some craft paper to fashion a bodge needle... it'll tell you what you need to know. I've gotten my truck up to around 6750 rpm before... only once and it was only because I HAD to or I was going to get slammed in the ass by an 18 wheeler. Thankfully, no damage done.
  6. *titls* Ah hell, I know what the problem is! My bad bud. I don't actually use AIM - I use Trillian. It has AIM/MSN/ICQ/IRC/Yahoo in one package... only problem is, I cannot seem to receive offline messages from AIM. No idea why... I get a message stating I HAVE one, but I can't actually get the message itself. Can you PM me the tracking number? I appologize for being so hasty, but even a small sum of money is a fortune for me right now considering my parents are in debt to the tone of 200k USD. Yeah, don't ask how. I'll try to look into resolving the AIM issue... or may just remove AIM from my Trillian install altogether. *shrugs*
  7. Driving my Pathy at different highway speeds (everywhere from 75mph to 55 mph) I think we hit that max effectiveness around 65? That's when I'm sitting right on 2500 rpm and she seems to have the least resistance... like the airflow is JUST right to cut as well as that big ole brick front end is going to.
  8. The thing with 4lo is to make sure the gears have all stopped turning. Be sure you are STOPPED, and have been stopped for a few seconds after putting the shifter into neutral. Then, pull the 4x4 lever into neutral, push it down, and SLAM it home into 4x4 lo. It may still make a little noise depending on if all the gears have stopped moving or not - I guess because of how far the gearing gets "geared down", the gears don't syncro-mesh right away when moving from 4hi to 4lo, hence the funky noises.
  9. I don't mind waiting for the part... I just want confirmation that the payment went thru XD That takes, what, 2 minutes?
  10. for some reason, I have memory of someone saying not to use silicone on the gaskets... use a rubber based sealant. I can't figure out why I remember that... can someone more knowledgable give a better answer?
  11. Just posting this out of frustration... it will be a week sunday since I paypal'ed the cash to josh for the rear spoiler+hinges, and since then he has not responded to any PM's, nor my attempt to contact him via AIM. I'm starting to feel a little disconcerted... Anyone know josh personally and can vouch for him? He's been online multiple times since I've pm'ed him... that's why I'm so confused. Anyway, not trying to point fingers... but with money tight for me, if I don't get a response in two or three days, I'm going to have to contact paypal and have them rescind the transaction *shrugs* I can't, literally, afford to get ripped off.
  12. SE - my Shiela is an SE, and I love her dearly! What models have mirror defrosters??? 0_o didn't know any pathy's pre 2000 came with em XD
  13. I think my autos are stuck... which is strange because 4wd works great still and last winter my hubs worked great. How difficult is the conversion to Warn Manual hubs... I may just do that and be done with it... would bolster my gas mileage a bit too
  14. So, wait... the story has me confused... did you loose half of each foot? Or did they rebuild it or... *tilts head confused* I hate Readers Digest for that reason... they say all the stuff that happened, then a nice, happy ending... nothing in between
  15. my CV's are turning in 2wd... Least I think they are...
  16. My Check Engine Light came on 3 times in the 10 minutes highway it took to get from, of all places, my automotive class and home. Came on for a few seconds, I'd let off the accelerator, and it'd go off. Wasn't blinking... no obvious reason I can think of. I was maintaining 70 MPH (which is about 5 mph less than the rest of the traffic) and it only came on about 4 minutes into the drive... once I got off the highway it didn't come on the other 5 minutes to my house. Only thing I can think of is that it's raining and VERY humid compared to what it's been the last... month or so. My RPM's were stable, power was good, no surging... nothing out of the ordinary cept for that damned disconcerting yellow light XD Any ideas? Should I just take it to the dearlership and have them check for stored codes?
  17. I'd like to know the stock ride height myself... I lifted mine up because it was sagging badly... I had to get it re-cambered and re-aligned, and my CV boots are making funky noises... I think I went a little TOO high... the ride is also rock hard
  18. What about getting summer tires (smaller treads) instead of all terrains? And lighter rims? I'm thinking of getting a set of smaller, lighter tires and lightweight rims for my rig. I can change it to the all terrains and my stock rims when I start wheeling Also, yes, any exhaust manifold leaks you have, fix them... mine is leaking and it's cost me about 2 mpg...
  19. Okay, I revise my previous statement - mention to them that you are worried about how far away it sticks out... see if they can, maybe, shorten it a little? I'm not 100% sure if this is an actual metal line or a rubber one... I'm assuming metal?
  20. Take it back to them and tell them either they do it right, or they don't get paid.
  21. UCC, do what we have done: We have a cache of ammo that'd let us shoot non-stop for a day all 8 of our rifles, 4 of our handguns, and our two crossbows and compound bows. We have enough canned/dried food and bottled water to last the better part of 6 months while keeping our next door neighbors AND grandparents (total, 8 people) supplied well
  22. I dunno what to tell ya mate... my auto is goin great... What tranny oil do you use? I know there's something about brass fittings in the tranny that can be damaged by some modern trans oil...
  23. The pictures will have to wait My father attempted suicide yesterday... *sighs* I don't have much time for personal pleasures at the moment...
  24. You need the manifolds and such due to backpressure needs.
