  1. If you jack it up, put it on stand since you got it up... when you take off the tire and anything falls off there is your problem... ck for loose or funny things... How do you know whats loose or funny, you maybe thinking... take off the other tire and use the other side as a point of referance... hence put it on a stand (DON'T USE CEMENT BLOCKS!!!! unless you have Sucidal Tendancies)...
  2. Yeah, I played with the switch for a good while the are making contact... just not doing anything though... I played with the lights so long I had to jumpstart the battery to turn over... but that may be a whole different issue all together... Anyhow, uncc says he has an old light swithch that he's willing to part with for a good price... and hopefully by the time it gets here I'll have a stuffed gremlin on the shelf... Thanks for all the help guys...
  3. What I've done with my mom's cars in the past... go for a wheel alignment/balance, preferably somewhere where someone knows you... If not, it time to sharpen up them social skills!!!!!! Just start talking shop and ask the guy, if its a real problem they'll tell you why they can't do it... its always worked for me... they usually tell you everything you need to know... and if your luck they'll give you an itemized quote.... ALL FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget to take a piece of paper and a pen... and don't forget to say thank you and shake his hand... Yeah, its a dirty way to do it... but I don't play nice either!!!!!!!!!! Good luck...
  4. Okay guys... sounds good to me... you could have made the whole thing up... I wouldn't have a clue... but it make me feel better... So Thanks... But lets assume that one is partial failure and the other is total failure... is it also safe to assume that the first would be partial and the second total???? Thanks agian...
  5. Hey brother, I'am VERY interested!!!!!!!!!! No Act of Congress to ship... Its just difficult at times... however since its relativly small and light, it makes it easier... USPS Priority gets here in usually about week, which is fine for me for the savings... As for the writing, I just need the truck to pass inspection next month!!!!!!!!! Inspection is real laid back here, but the lights are usually not... Anyhow like I said, I am intersted... shipping time is no problem... who knows how long Nissan will take... I get paid next week and I am in the process of moving to a new place (here move in rent is first, last, and equal security) so I am broke right now... but like I said I get paid next week... so either e-mail me at: texasbudman@hotmail.com or PM me... and we can disscuss the details... Thanks

  7. Good Day, I've had gremlins in my Pathy lately and have just been introduced to the codes (thanks again)... however after reviewing the list I noticed that some are duplicate... any special reason why???? I honestly didn't even know the lil box was for, but I'm a learnin!! Anyhow I won't get the chnace to ck it out till Sat, but if anyone has a heads up please let me know... any useful informaiton is much appricated... Thanks
  8. I second the motion, what red said (both of them)... ck the water and clean/ck the terminals first... If you add water use distilled water... DON'T USE TAP!!!! and don't overfill it... the water issue happens all the time on motorcycles, that are not ck'ed duing high heat (like summer), but really dosen't happen as often to these things with 4 wheels... but then again I've been riding bikes exclsively for like 13 years... and driving full time for less than a year, just bought my first anything with 4 wheels just recently... Anyhow, most of my bikes batteies had a water line... I'm not sure about these 4 wheelers... Scrub those terminals... double ck the connections too... they get get loose/break sometimes... Have it ck'ed out at your local parts store that will do it for free... Charge/replace... if not... your gonna need to spend some more money... Water... clean... and ck connections... first Thats what I would do... Good Luck...
  9. You know I would have proably never thought to search for the codes... Thank you very much, I really appreciate it... I may have a truck after all... I am so glad I found this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Rac... Thanks, but I was really hoping you had another idea... but honestly I was thinking you were gonna say that... cash is a lil tight right now and it looks like next pay ck... as for finding a used one here... I seriously doubt it, its a small island... but it looks like I'm going to Nissan this week... Thanks again... the pics really did help... I really apprciate it...
  11. Okay guys, I my girl hasn't been doing to well lately and I finally got around to ripping out the switch for the lights... its was pretty dirty got it all cleaned up, but the rear lights still don't turn on and she's still a "one eyed dog" on low beam (only)... I cked ALL of the fuses and everything looks good... any other suggestions... comments... complaints...
  12. It turns on... but clanks something ugly!!! and will eventually cut off... Idol is for crap too... I've cked the wire several times already... I guess once more won't hurt... I'm really not sure what to do now... thats why I called for backup... but I guess my buddies date went pretty well... He's MIA....hahah
  13. Thanks for the help... actually two of the point were corroded really bad... my buddy came by for a quick glance (he had a date) but told me to rule out the cap positioning... he said it might be a valve because it dosen't seem that the two point in question had fired in a while... thata show me for not cking it more thoughly before buying it... Anyhow thanks agian... my buddy is a REAL mechanic... I just know enough to get myself into trouble!!!!
  14. I was changing out the wires plugs and distibutor cap... However, I knocked the original and was not 100% sure I put it back right (I'm like 90% sure I put it right)... I got a nasty knocking noise comming out that I'm tring to pin point and want to rule out the distributor cap... can anyone help a brother out... I ck'ed my Haynes manual but it dosen't help much... Thanks
  15. I don't know if this helps at all, I'm real new to actually owning these things with 4 wheels (less than a year to be exact)... However, when I was getting ready to relocate to the US Virgin Islands and getting my Texas truck shipped here... My mom told me to Ziebart the underbody... now weather or not Ziebart uses that same stuff or not, I have no earthly idea... But I did drive over 200 miles to get it done before I left, becase mama said... As for the "the wand" I would be very intrested to see pic's of it... or maybe even see a little DIY post here... they don't do that here... from what I understand, I'd have to figure out how to get it to Puerto Rico (and its a maybe)... Well I doubt that my info helps in the least bit... but that's my 2 cents and a wooden nickle...
  16. Roost... join the club... were talking about getting jackets... Rac... any do's and don't on ripping out the switch... don't want to do a bone head/ rookie mistake... 88... I'll ck the switch... and yes both the blinkers do work fine (hazards too)... break lights... as far as I'm conserned, it doesen't make any sense that they don't come on when the headlights do... uncc... all the bulbs work for everything but the rear when the driving lights are turned on... I'll ck to see if I can find the relay in the repair guide... I glanced at it but reading that thing is like reading spagetti... Pickles... the dash light bulb hasen't worked since I got her, but everything else on the panel works fine, but the guy I bought her from had rigged a illuminated windshild wiper knob on the collumn for light (it looks odd but worked)... any how that stopped working a few weeks back... however both the dome lights do work...***as for the junkyard... If it was worth it to you AT THE TIME... who cares... you got what you needed, and thats all that matters.... Me and a buddy of mine bought a standard used tire that was bald with a Huge lump for something ridiculous like $25-30 (in high school 15+ yrs ago)... but we were Drunk, it was Real Late, in Mexico, and the spare was shredded and the rim looked like a deformed stop sign... Hey we made it home... Best Damn Tire we ever bought!!!!!!*** Thank you EVERONE for your useful input/comments/support... and by all means don't hesitate to comment if you come up with anything else... Lets see which one of the three dudes I will be on Monday...Thanks again...
  17. I just noticed that my 90's rear lights are not working... brake lights do... Any ideas on what to try first...(I ck'ed the fuse) Side note, Drivers side low beam hasen't worked for a bit... even after I changed the bulb and fueses... I read on here to clean up the switch inside the lever... okay, this weekend, for sure... but does anyone have any do's and don'ts for taking apart the lever... please... If I screw it up, its real hard to get parts shipped here... Thanks PS I still haven't figured out the (earlier post) A/C electic issue... if anyone knows/cares...
  18. The "blue square box above the fuses" was the second relay (going from left to right) that I would jiggle and the A/C would blow cold again... there are three relays in my 90 Pathy, however there is an empty space to possible fit another... the service manual tells me there should only be two relays... As for the little green light on the A/C button... yeah it dosen't turn on anymore... loss of pressure in the A/C system... that dosen't sound good... know of any tricks to fix??? I've been riding motorcycles almost excluively for just over 13 years, this is actually the first anything with 4wheels I have purchased... I really don't know much about these crazy 4 wheeled things... Thanks
  19. Good Day, I got a Electrical question... I was showing my girlfriend how to use the portable air pump (that plugs into the cig lighter) and the light came on (on the pump) but something popped when she turned on the compressor... It wasn't the air pump and the cig lighter doesn’t work but the A/C blows just not cold... Now something similar happened before, but I just replaced the two pretty blue fuses and back in business... but I ck'ed all of them more than once and they all looked good... however the other day the A/C stopped blowing COLD AIR and I pushed in the little light blue square box above the fuses and presto... the little green light came on and cold air again... It happened a few other times but it didn't work this time though... Did I blow the relay? I couldn't really pull it out, but I really didn't try real hard, it was late and I really don't know much about the relays either... On that note... in the fuse box, above the fuses... I have Three Relays... the manual say there should be Two... but there appears to be room for Four... what are the 90 Pathies suppose to have??? I'm not sure when I will have time to start taking stuff apart... but I'm real hesitant on messing with something that might be jury rigged and screw up something else more important than the A/C... Any and all useful information is appreciated... Thanks, Romeo
  20. Biased in here what led you to that conclution... Mine is a 90 that I just bought with 313xxx miles with everything working power locks, windows, etc... A/C too but I blew something... my fault... I think... no complaints here so far...
  21. Okay... I got an easier question... in the fuse box, above the fuses... If anyone can give me some additonal information I would be grateful... Thanks
  22. It blows, just not cold... the little green light dosen't glow either... I had accidently hit the relay in the fuse box (the middle one) and it had turned on, before... but that trick dosen't seem to work anymore... I'm gonna take it to a buddy of mine who might be able to hook it up to a computer and hopefully figure it out... My problem is that I have been riding bikes exclusively for the past 13 years... I really don't know much about these things with 4 wheels...
  23. Good Day, Okay Pathy people I got a A/C question... yeah she gots some years and miles on here but last night I was showing my girlfiend how to use the portable air pump and the light came on but something popped when she turned on the compressor... It wasn't the air pump and the cig lighter dosen't work but the A/C blows just not cold... Now this happend before, but I just replced the two pretty blue fuses and back in bussiness... but I ck'ed all of them last night (its was pretty dark) and they all looked good... however the other day the A/C stopped blowing COLD AIR and I pushed in the little light blue square box above the fuses and presto... Are there glass fuses or something in there??? I couldn't really pull it out, but I really didn't try real hard, it was late... Can anyone help me with this crazy thing?????
  24. Good Day Blue For starters, I don't know about Minn area and laws... but in Texas if you leave a deposit... Thats it... it belongs to the other guy!!!!!!!!!!! Thats Texas Law... I have no idea about Minn, so you may want to ck that out first... Second, I'm a newbie and just bought a 90 w/314,xxx and in great condition and runs really good... A/C and power stuff works and everything... Its a great Island Truck... the first thing that comes to mind is $400 thats either a steal or the beginning of a nightmare rape of your paycheak... If you got the time and the $$$ to pump into it, go for it!!!! The first thing that came to mind was a tune up like you said... but the second was "Gremlins" it could be lots of things... (I thought "Gremlins" before I read it, but I give credit where credit is due...) But like I said... worry about if he can legally sell it to you with the deposit already given, first... then move on to other things... Good Luck
  25. xepathe...Hold that thought... I have a lead on a site where I can print out the file... gotta save a few bucks... but I am in the US Virgin Islands and snail mail can take 6-8 weeks, give or take a month... so if we were to do this it would have to be USPS Priority at the very least, that only takes one to two weeks... Caribbean Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
