  3. Good Afternoon everyone... well I sold my 90 in St. Croix, USVI... and now I'm here in my new job in the Pacific... Northern Mariana Islands... Saipan... Anyhow, since its the same group I know these girls... but is there anything specific for the 95's that I will be ck'ing out later??? Its suppose to have rot... but its an island.... Any and all useful information is appreciated...
  4. Its amazing when you get a nice little three day weekend you can think a little straighter... Anyhow, I couldn't find the Sea Foam here... but I picked up a Gumout high mileage fule system treatment and cked a few things... Well things got worst before they got better... so finally my buddy offered to ck it out... and on my way she stalled pretty ugly... Didn't want to turn... didn't want to turn... etc... and finally she coughed up one big nasty cloud of black smoke... and that was pretty much it... no more problems... My buddy couldn't find anything wrong, because she stopped acting up... Thanks everyone... with everything going on I just wasn't thinking... as for pulling the code comment... I never got around to diging up my sheet for them... but why is it so many of us never seem to think of that on our own, and we've all done it before... Thanks again...
  5. My 90 Auto Trans 2x4 is acting up... I think I know but... Alright... I haven't had much time to really ck on her lately... and I really don't have a lot of time... I won't get in to the BS... I did a little surfing of the site but... you'll see... Anyhow, when she starts she'll have a tendancy to want or actually cut off... more when cold, but anytime... During first start I usually hear some knocking (kinda like a woodpecker) and stops after a few seconds... Sometimes at a stop she'll idle real rough and once and a long time she'll cut... But if I drop her in D or N... it won't cut and isn't as bad... Take off has been really forced/slow (basically lack of power) the past weekish... I really noticed it a few days after I got back on island (about 2 weeks ago) and my buddy that I left her with mentioned it too a couple of days ago after I picked him up from work... I change out the plugs and wires like 2 months ago... and I've used super since I got her like 2 years ago, because the guy I bought her from said he did for x amount of years... The bottom line is... I like to play mechanic from time to time but I don't have a lot of time and I only got the one horse... and getting Nissan parts on island can be a real pain in the ass (99.9% of the time) and don't get me statred with the shipping... I had an emergency in Texas that required my immediate attention and I sprung for a flisht with 36 hour notice, that wasn't cheap... Any and all useful information is greatly appriciated... Thanks in advance

    Titian

I know that somewhere in here there are links to the various Pathy series factory service manuals... and messing around sometime back... I could of sworn that there was a link somewhere for the Titian manuals too (the 05 in particular)... Dose anyone know about this??? or am I just making this all up up??? Thanks
  7. Noooooooo, don't say that... it stoped where it is suppose to... When I took off the door panel, I couldn't pull out/find the motor... I didn't get a chance yesterday... hopefully today... I'm thinking what I attempted to get out was for the power locks... which would still mean I can't find the one for the window...
  8. Okay... I ripped the door panel off... that big thing on the left side with three bolts, isn't the window motor is it??? If so, that thing won't fit to come out... if not I have a feeling I'm gonna feel real stupid... I ck'ed my books and either I missed the section or something... I'm gonna ck the books again... It got dark on me and I started getting frustrated with the girlf... I mean hungry... I disconnected it cleaned it up the connection, stuck the air spray straw and said a lil prayer... and tried it again... Nope, I just put it all back together and decided to give it a shot a different day with light... on another note... it goes down with the button, real bad ass, so now its all the way down...
  9. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I liked my idea... kinda like Animal playing the drums... hahahaa Okay... I'll do it the right way... we'll see if I can get to it tomarrow... Thanks brother...
  10. Nope... no sound... I wish... Just like fixing the starter... huh... So basically I need to bang the sh!t out of it till it works... Should I start with a hammer or use the end of a screwdriver, and work my way up???
  11. just need to crack the door open and raise it... or do any of you guys have any neat little tips and tricks?? I did a quick search and didn't find anything useful... Any and all useful information is apprciated... Thanks It's an 90... power windows...
  12. By George I think your right!!!!!!!!!! I glanced in and saw where everything changed color in the area where the water blead out and the hole... but it look metal and I figured that a hose running beteen the heads would be too hot... so I figured it would be metal... hence "tube" instead of hose... I'm looking at my part # diagram and I think its part #14075 ( I really need to go re-ck)... Anyhow, the mechanic isn't much of a talker and was ref'ed by a friend... but I'm willing to bet my truck, he's from one of the British Islands... I didn't even think of that... hahaaaaaa Thanks for the help John...
  13. Thats what I was told... I just figured it was my ignorance, that's why I put it in quotes... he said that he needed the upper and lower Intake Manafold Gaskets too, to get in there... he showed me the hole above the water pump...I was told the water pump is fine... I was told at the parts store that I had to get it from a junkyard or the dealership... I'm gonna have to go look at it agian, in not such a hurry and show him a diagram... or something... I'll be the first to admit not knowing much about these engines attached with 4 wheels... I'm thinking that its some type of caribbean slang that I don't know...
  14. Okay I was told that the parts store here can't get it... I have to either go to the dealership or get it from a junk yard... there are not a lot of junkyards here and they are small... can anyone recommend a GOOD on line junkyard... or actually ones to stay away from...
  15. My 90 appeared to have a bad water pump (key word: appeared)... so I ordered one... a week later (caribbean time) it arrives and now the mechanic says the water pump is fine and I need a "engine water suction tube" and showed me the real problem... I orignally took it to him because I have my girlfriends family in from the mainland and I know she wouldn't be happy with me playing mechanic on the weekend... I did a search but I didn't find anything useful... So... Does anyone have any input on this??? Should I ck/change anything eles with all the work he's gonna be doing?? This is a lil beyond my simple Kmart socket set jobs/knowlege... Any and all useful input is appreciated... Thanks
  16. I drink a lot of water too and I agree with Grim... and if you attach whole house filter and a IR water pureifier too... you'll proabably have the best water in town... Here in the islands very few people use the crappy "city" water here... most people have cisterns and a pump... my land lord has a filter system and the water is fine until his cheap ass "forgets" to change the filters, and you smell right away when you have gone way past the time.
  17. Try using some steel wool and ajax... should clean it right up... but seriously... I second the vinegar idea...
  18. Yeah, sometimes you gotta look really really close... it happens... but I still like the magically disapearing coolant theory... eventhough the theory was rejected... and the head job would have sucked pretty bad!!!
  19. When my alt went out... thats pretty much what happened to me... did you have a few of the panel lights flikering??? I did a lil ck'ing and there was a sequence so I had kinda guessed it was comming... read the links on the alt... Did you ck the connections???
  20. I say if you really want to keep it... Keep it and use the part of 10k...(be patient) to buy a decent used bike, cash... say $2-3k range in the 550-750cc range, less $ if you can find a deal... use that as your everyday commuter, weather allowing... set aside a couple hundred for the min. liability ins for the year... blow the extra $7-8k the on the pathy, gear, school supplies, beer, toys, music, tatoos, hookers, whatever... You'll save hell a cash on gas and ins for the everyday commute... still have your girl... and a something for bad weather... and you can take all your girlfriends out in the mode of transportation that is best suited for the occation and/or weather... unlike me when I was in school... Bikes are really popular these days, as opposed to when I got my first one... Feed off the rookies... most of these guys watch a couple of episode of OCC or Jessie James and go out buy themselves way too much bike that they can handle and a cute outfit to match their new chain wallet... lay it down with in a few months and get rid of it as fast as possible... Thats the way I bought my last one... she wasn't much of a looker but she was real good to me... I'd run all around the Rio Grande Valley border area... out to South Padre Island... a Weekend Run down into Mexico... several trips up to San Antoinio, Austin, etc... Priceless... Well thats my 98 cents...
  21. I had a magically disappearing coolant issue with a Chevy truck, before I left the States... I ck'ed... a couple of my buddies ck'ed and nothing... then the magical teleprotation of coolant increased... and finally there was a small puddle of coolant in a dimple of the engine, in odd location at that... re-ck'ed... nothing... the dimple started overflowing and dripping... re-ck'ed... nothing... I finally ditched work a few min's early one day and I showed my mechanic and he glanced in and ck'ed (quickly)... nothing... my mechanic mentioned it might be arcing from anywhere and told me to bring it back the next day for a real inspection... I decided to change the hose... problem solved... turns out there was an invisable pin hole that lost its magical abilitiy once disconnected... Either learn how to dispel magic or do a really really really close inspection... Good Luck
  22. I'm pretty green when it come to these things with 4 wheels...I know more about bikes... but the first thing that came to mind was a short some where... thats where I would start...but there are a lot of guys in here that know these truck inside and out... unlike me... I doubt I was of much help... Good Luck brother
  23. If I remember correctly when I first got mine... I had the same problem as homeboys allegid 95... and my steering wheel dosne't lock and I can take the key out of ignition while its running... and I still have no idea what the lil black button next to the ignition does (all I know is its not the auto eject button)... However shortly after I got her, I put in an alarm in her w/the auto locks on the button... so I say just Kill Two Stoned Birds... get an alarm with the auto locks and forget about it...
  24. I like to call them love taps, myself... but I'm with John... Actually most of my moms "older" cars have had the same problem... it was never a big deal... from what I can remember...
  25. When I bought my 90... I was kicking the tires one last time as I the guy was starting the paper work and mine would open either... anyhow it wanted to just couldn't... the seller did most of the work, but it turned out that a screw fell in and jammed it up... Just something to ck for... John knows better than me... he's helped me out quite a bit... just an extra 2 cents for ya... Good Luck
