It’s been talked about lots but I don’t think anyone’s ever successfully done it. It would be a lot of work http://www.pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8315

Sliders go on July 1, local fab shop is two weeks out. Gusset kit arrived yesterday. I could also see them making me a front bumper here soon, I was quoted about $350. Also working towards getting my own mid skid plate made.
Damn only 350 for a custom bumper?

Check your oil cooler for leaks

It doesn’t take 6” of lift to fit 33’s
Nope. Plenty of people fit them with 2 inches of lift and some trimming

I could be wrong. The pcv valve is on the passenger side valve cover. It runs along to the drivers side....but I don’t remember if it connects to the drivers side...or goes over to the intake
-
Yep. You’ll have to manufacture an sfd or wait for hawaiirish and towndogr50 to release theirs
-
1/4 inch hose fitting to bypass that. And I believe the hose from the pcv plumbs right into the air intake elbow before the throttle body

It won’t tear anything up removing that plate and driving around? If not then that’s exactly what I’ll do!I’d probably do it with the wheels off the ground first and see if it still makes noise

I actually meant the stock housings. Those look crazy bright and bluish.

I’m glad this somewhat worked out for you!

Yep. Sounds like a head gasket

I picked up an aluminum valve cover from a 2001 LE at the local JY, after finding multiple spark plugs soaked . Swapped into my 2002 SE after wire brushing and a new gasket. Runs and fits perfectly and ties in nicely with the manifold! Not sure about changing the cylinder 1 coil pack, it was pretty much plug and play.
On my 01 Q the number I coil pack plugs in from the top instead of the side like the other coil packs due to there being a space issue right there

It depends on the code. The light can come on and off on its own. It doesn’t always require a reset. And 208 degrees is definitely too hot for normal. Mine never goes above 196 in AZ at 105 plus temps. That combined with the white smoke has me thinking you have a bad head gasket

Pics got too much shadow to see them well. What wheels are they?

I heard that the aluminum valve covers are slightly different in dimensions and where hardware goes, I think I read on it on NICO a long time ago and that one guy tried it and it didn't work. Yeah it sucks to replace the valve cover for the built in spark plug tube seal, my passenger side which I found were completely shot. All 3 spark plugs were drenched

Hmmm....my understanding was their a direct swap other than needing to change the cylinder 1 coil pack due to the design. I’ll have to look into it

Shoulda tried to score some of the aluminum covers to replace with so you can service the spark plug seals in the future

What bumper is that?

Is it just to hold it together while welding?
Another engine swap idea

I did see a write up where a guy swapped in an rb26dett into a r50 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1bGnTCIBeAMVEd6OVlIdjh6UXc/preview?pli=1
strike that. This is a wd21
