  1. Went up to the slopes for some skiing, and without knowing it, I just happened to park two spots away from another R50. The Pathy nearest the camera (left) is the one I saw, the far one (right) is my old girl. Such a rare thing to see, and even more so to park right near one. Not many old Pathfinders here in northeast Ohio! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sweet! I absolutely LOVE the front end in the ‘98 Pathy. It’s old-school, but clean looking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’m thinking about repainting part of my R50’s matte black roof rack. Anybody know the paint code for it? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks man. Yeah, deep down inside I figured it was the tranny. Just didn’t want to think about a rebuild right now. Thanks for the link, I’ll look into it ASAP. Luckily, it’s still very drivable. Just have to slip it into neutral whenever I come to a stop (it’s an automatic, in case that wasn’t clear already). The problems are minor, so hopefully I can drive on this tranny for a little while longer. Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So recently my ‘99.5 Pathy has been slipping when it’s in gear. It doesn’t feel like transmission problem (I sure hope not), so I think it’s the timing belt. Does anybody have any ideas on this? And if it is the belt, maybe the timing needs to be adjusted, so if need to know the correct timing degree. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Took some pics the other day. Trying to keep her somewhat stock, but the temptation is unbearable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I recently bought new running boards/nerf bars for my 99.5 R50 Pathy, and finally got a chance to assemble them. But when I went to install them today, I noticed that my OEM boards are rusted solid on to the frame of the car. I was wondering if there was a catalyst spray or something that would help free the bolt. Anybody here know any good catalyst sprays or other possible solutions?
  8. Thanks, just wondering. The ‘99.5 has a unique grille, as it was technically the JDM model. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Wow, this post is just the motivation I needed. Coincidentally, I am a 16-year-old high school student with a stock R50 Pathy that has been in my family since I was conceived (my parents wanted a larger car to accommodate a child, and my mother’s 1990 Isuzu Stylus wasn’t exactly a perfect fit LOL). The Pathy means the world to me, and I plan on holding on to her as long as I live. This past summer, the ol’ girl was passed down the line to me. I have been very interested in cars, but never had the chance to work with a car hands-on. Since then, I’ve made a few modifications to my truck, all of which I was able to learn to do myself by joining this community. I have a rust-removal/restoration project on my agenda, and although there were no existing topics on exactly what needed to be done, I just replied to an old restoration post with my question on the details of lightly-rusted underbody restoration. Within two days, I had about 12 or so member responses, which were all very helpful. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope one day, when I am a bit older, I too can share the story of my Pathfinder!
  10. Quick Question: is that a ‘99.5 in your photo, or is it a different R50?
  11. Which NPORA sticker is that? Is it just one sticker, or two different ones stacked up? Thanks!
  12. When you say you have the Nissan font, are you talking about the old WD21 font? If so, would you mind providing me with the font name and/or a photo of the complete font template? Thanks!!
