  1. The rubbing is off the tire, in which I'm going take a propane torch the section and heat it up, so that I could push the plastic back, where it's rubbing and also I hear a little rubbing on the left side, with the rim hitting the brake caliper bracket, I'm going to take the grinder to the area that rubbing, in which isn't bad, it's in a small spot, sounds like a rock stuck in the tire or hopefully it just wear out, because the other side isn't making any noise. drove 60 miles today, so I hope that helps. David
  2. Well I just got back from discount and they fit perfect, with of coarse the typical rubbing , sorry I haven't taken any pictures yet. So go and tell that guy to test fit them, like they did at my discount tires. David
  3. As right now I've 138K, so what is another 14K, I'll let you know when she hits that mark in about 6 months or sooner. To bad that Nissan doesn't make badge that say 150k,200K and etc, like I use to see on Volvo. Hey that might be an idea.
  4. I let you guys know if 15s will fit or not, I just order 15" rims and 32" BFG A/T at discount Friday, I've having them put on tomorrow, since the tires weren't in stock. The 15" rim are the unique 297 series with the -12 off set and the person that help me, didn't think that I'll have a problem. hopefully those tires are there first thing in the morning, so that I can tell you if they fit or not, because they are having a tent sale that end tomorrow and I save myself a $100 in which came out to be $978.00, so hopefully you can get in on the deal. Also my pathfinder is a 2001. David
  5. When my pathfinder 3.5l vq was stock the best I've seen once was 24mpg at driving like a old person and not going over 55mph, but the average was 20-21(Most of my driving is highway) and now with the ARB front bumber, 9500 warn wench, warn off road lights, rocky road super sliders, warn hubs and CSUTKE AC lift that I took off his retired Pathfinder (Sorry). with all that I think added an extra 300lbs and getting about 19 MPG to 20 MPG, Tomorrow I going to discount tires tent sale and see about putting on some BFG 32" on 15" rims. I wonder how bad that going to drag the mileage down and by the way, she has 138500 miles on her and have had only one problem, and that was the MAF (Don't use K&N filter) other than that the normal routine maintance.
  6. I bought mine on ebay 6 months ago and they work much better than the stock one did. here is the item number: 220294776892 R1 Concepts, not bad for a $137.99 with free shiping. David
  7. I have 135300 on mine with about 7000 miles on mobile 1 extended performance for up 15000 miles, and still reading full on the last time that I filled up. I'll usually change it about every 8000 miles to 10000 miles. David
  8. Here is a web site of the local Colorado guys. http://roninwheelers.com/ I think there is couple of guys with Xterra down in Springs. There is at least a get together once a month some where with these guys and also get you're rig ready next May for Gone Nissan in Moab. Well anyway check the web site out and see you on a trail. David
  9. That looks awesome, I have a 01 with the ac lift and stock tires on it for know. where did you get the spacer, because I was thinking going with 32, but the 33 look great. Also, have you have change the gears, if not do notice any big difference in power.
  10. Unless the vehicle is turbo or supercharge, I wouldn't increase the exhaust size, you will lose back pressure which mean the loss of power and bottom end torque.
  11. I think you might have got really lucky and that the Maf might have cause the stalling and possibly the spark plugs . But if it did hydro lock you might have bent a rod. in which that it would still run, just one the cylinder is lower on the stroke. What I can't get is that the inlet on the stock air box is right above the tire way up high, so I would think water would at least 2.5 foot deep to get in there. Oh well I guess anything is possible, just next time take you're time crossing and by the way Schofield pass/devils punchbowl is beautiful other than the narrow road( In which is a bitch to pass anybody) also scared the hell out of the wife a couple times on Labor day weekend on the way to Ouray and Telluride. I also went wheeling today with a group to McAllister and other trails by Vail. If you want check out a local nissan group, that goes wheeling go to http://roninwheelers.com/. David
  12. Sorry about the you're Pathfinder and best of all you've came out of it all right. At least now this gives you a opportunity to upgrade to one with a 3.5L. David
  13. Here is it on Ebay http://www.roninwheelers.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2464 Someone on roninwheelers.com found it. David
  14. Bought it May 15, 2007 with 90.540 miles and now has 116878 miles. It's been to Illinois and back twice to off road to the top of mosquito pass at 13185 feet. The only thing that I have done is lock tight power valve screws, when I put the Ngk Iridium plugs in at 105000 miles and a month ago just replace all the fluids and ended up the transfer case fluid looking original, really black. The only issue with it when I put a K&N filter in it, was the maf acting up for a week, with the code p0171, I ended up soaking the crap out of it with Maf cleaner a couple of times, and now it's been 2 weeks with out check engine light. keeping my fingers cross. Also it average about 80 miles a day to work and back, mostly all highway miles. I think this a very dependable engine, and should be able to get 250000 miles out of it no problem, with of coarse routine maintenance. David Rowe
  15. Hi I wondering if anyone has replace the spark plugs on the 3.5L and what is the best way to do this project. Any suggestion would be great. David
  16. Hey try this web site http://www.car-part.com/index.htm. Found a used engine with 76000 mile for $1600. David Rowe
  17. How far are you guys willing to drive and do you have any ideas. I was thinking doing Mosquito pass from Alma to Leadville, then head over to Tip Cup and Taylor area or maybe somewhere north near you guys, like Pole Hill or Pierson Park Road. I thought to throw those in, they seem interesting from what the book said.(Guide to Colorado Backroads & four wheel drive trails). Any ideas would be great. David Rowe
  18. How about weekend of the August 18 and 19, That way It give us time to plan on where to go, since you live in Ft. Collins and also to see who else want to go. maybe look into do some camping or get a hotel. Anyway, see what happens, I also belong to a Thunderbird Sc club and trying to get people together alway a pain in the Butt. David Rowe
  19. Hi, I'm new to this sight and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in going four wheeling before the summer is over, I live in Littleton. Right now my 2001 pathfinder is stock with Toyo AT, There is a couple places I want to do, so far I been up the first part of Schofield Pass, That where Crystal Mill is and the ghost town. I waiting to get skid plates and get a little lift before trying the Devil Punch bowl, so I can get to the back side of Crested Butte. So maybe we could get a group together and have some fun with the pathfinders. David Rowe
