  1. I just went through this same thing. After hours of research I pulled the trigger. I have a97 AC springs 2" 1" strut spacer Bilstien longer rear shocks 4" B'S. I couldn't find 3.75 285/75/16 fierce attitude tires I added a 1.75 spacer because I thought I needed it I had to trim metal in the front After wheeling I rubbed my rear wheel wells I just removed the spacer It clears the strut by a hair Tested the rear and no rub yet I have yet to wheel with this set up Manual hubs are a necessity to save CV as well as the increased mpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. 1997 manual 3.3 Everything has been fine till the other day. I had less than 1/4 tank of gas. Engine was idling weird. While accelerating in first and second truck was jerking like someone was switching the gas on and off. In 3rd gear under very mild throttle pressure. Every thing was fine. I filled up the tank, problem continued. Next day I drive it 10 miles and no problems and the check engine light is not on. Any ideas Thanks in advance.

  10. 3 months lacking any truck of the month. Why are there so few entries? It seams random pictures has a lot more action.
  11. My .02. If you're going in there do it right the first time. You have to compress the springs to get it on the strut. I would recommend AC springs 2" lift and add a 1 " strut spacer. Once you lift I would definitely install locking hubs, Warn, Mile Marker or the like. Also check front ball joints, steering rack. I know it all cost money. But doing things 3 times really sucks I have the springs and they are great. My old ones were really soggy and sucked for off roading going over rocks and slamming down. Good luck
  12. I used on my last trip Shovel, sockets, screwdriver, knife gps, ice scraper, blanket, gloves, camera tire deflator, compressor, hammer
  13. You can always add spacers or adapters and get the grinder out I got 285/75/16 with 4"BS, i thought I would need spacers so I got 1.75, but that is over kill. I need to fab a little on the wheel well
  14. Great suggestions. I need to get going on this large list
  15. Thanks fleurys. What a great Christmas present to myself. I can't believe no one else is stepping up. Protection is not sexy but is necessary and only a fraction more than steel. I hope people step up and reward you for your creativeness. Merry christmas NPORA
