What's a good source for PBR brakes?
-
What pads did you go with? I can get MORSE ceramics for about $46 from AutoZone...anybody ever used these? What about Raybestos Ceramics...a little more ($59)??
-
I replaced mine and the bolts were rusted to the point of breaking off...oh well, it hasn't fallen out yet.
-
Yep...after 3 I'd say the lemon law applies.

I've got the same thing in my 97 when I run the A/C...sounds like a leaf caught in the duct.
-
given that you carry a heavy load FAR less frequent than not, seems to me that they should raise the front an inch, as to make it level with the rear...then when you do carry a load, the rear drops at the current rate (now sitting slightly lower than the front) so nothing is lost...

I have a 97 SE, mostly stock...I noticed that the front seems to sit a little lower than the rear...is this the case with all stock Pathys?
-
It will actually depend on the tire you decide to buy...that is, if you wanted BFGs ATs, these don't come in a 265/70/15...you'll have to go either 30x9.50 or 31x10.50.

Are you sure you're in the right forum?

Free shipping on orders over $100 at AC.

I got rear ended by a kid 2 weeks after I bought mine...crinkled up the lift gate and the paper tag.
-
sweet...I'm ordering mine next week. Those pics are great. I'm also going to do some brake work and gear-oil change while I'm at it.

Cheapest and easiert...start with a K&N drop-in air filter...my brother and I are big Volvo fans also and we ran some tests with & without a K&N drop-in in his 850R, and we saw about a 5% increase in air flow. Then exhaust, then chip.

Anybody have any suggestions on good pads to use for the front? Ceramic? Dustless? How about "APEX", ever heard of those? IS Bosch OK? Etc.?

buying a new car is the worst mistake ever considering an average 15% per year depreciation value...now factor in a lease where I'm limited to 10Kmiles/year, and at the end of 36 months, I've spent over $16000 and have absolutely nothing to show for it except a payment history. Buy used, let someone else eat the depreciation. There's a reason why the "typcical millionaire" drives cars 2-3 years old...they didn't get rich by throwing their money away. But, if a new a car is what you want, then that's what you want.

Leasing is the worst possible option ever!!! Unless you like wasting your money, stay far away!!!

Has anyone done this...is it the square plug on the differential...do you drain it like the oil...how much do you replace it with, etc., etc??
-
Well, the tool does work...in that I did get it on #6, not much room to turn, and as I was turning it, it never really felt like it was loosening...all I could picture was breaking a plug off and having to pull the engine to get it out. So I quit while I was ahead...still have the old #6 in there. Last thing I need is a $2500 spark plu job.
-
Hey, thanks for the follow up...I never knew that was those tools were for under the seat -thnkboutit-
-
What Nissan "tool" are you guys referring to? I have a 97, so I need to go to the dealer for this tool..(that's exactly why #6 is where it is, to get me back to the dealer )...so elbows work, is that what I'm gathering? I can't even see the thing!!!!

How the heck are you supposed to get to this one?
