  2. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here. Awhile ago the battery was draining off and on, some days it worked fine while other days 3 battery wouldn't get me 30km down the road. All the while my power windows were on the fritz, as I'd go to power them to go up they were slow and other times they would not work accompanied by clicking and humming near the dash or door on passenger side. Also my power locks would lock and unlock at totally random times, locked my keys in one day. Then all of a sudden the locks and power windows would not work at all. Now there's no power to anything, no power mirrors, dash lights , windshield wipers nothing . I checked all the fuses in the dash drivers side but all are fine. I cannot get my passenger door open now cause the lock rod in the door will not come up. So here's what I did. I took the alternator off and washed it out with degreaser and put it back in. The alternator started smoking and then one of the smaller positive wires on my batt caught on fire. I fixed the wire and all seemed well, no power anything but I drove all night on a single charged batt. I have no idea what to do now and I need to get this fixed.   3. If anyone out there could help I'd appreciate it. All power sources are now bored. Power windows, locks, mirrors, wipers, dash lights, heater and AC . My passenger door is stuck locked and cant get it open. I checked the fuses on drivers side under dash and all are good. I'm at a loss here Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk
  4. I looked at all my fuses in drivers side under dash and all are good. I have no clue as to where any other fuses might be. It's so weird cause one thing after another keeps going. I really want to keep her even though she's on 340,000KM Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

  18. Im in a pickle guys. Ive been having charging issues lately I want to take my alt off and bench tested so I remove 2 bolts from alt. Top and Bottom. Removed belt and loosened adj. Bolt. And she would only turn under force but did not come loose. Should I remove wires before or after taking the bolts out? Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

  22. So yesterday I cleaned the terminal wires really good and tightned the belt on the alt. With a fresh charged batt. I was off, 20km then stopped for 2 hours. Started strong and went back 20km. Stopped for 3 hours. Started strong. Drove 35km. Stayed the night. Was a snowstorm and engine seemed quiet this morning. Prob full of snow. Then on my way home about 20km in started seeing power failure in my lights dimming. Sure enough just barley made it in my driveway and she died. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk
