  1. Welcome and nice mount. I did a similar one but mounted it low since my antenna is long. I like your no holes drilled idea I had to drill mine. Seems we have a similar sticker in the same spot as well!
  2. Oh no, THAT dreaded code! I went through this last spring. It is more than likely it is your IAC like Novapath mentioned. I had that same issue. The tricky part about it is when your IAC goes bad it could send a short to your ECM and burn one of the components. That's what I experienced. Had to have my ECM repaired and replaced my IAC. That fixed all issues. I have the 3.5 so I don't know of its the same for the 3.3.
  3. I've loaded 300 lbs in the back of mine recently and was surprised on how much it's giving in. The coils in my rear seem weak. If you're trying to support a lot of weight in the back end I would replace them.
  4. Found a random small sheet of 1/4" thick aluminum and wondered how much it would take to make my own skid plate for my r50. Evidently not too much effort. Took me about an hour to construct. I was surprised how easy this was. I'm going to find some thicker metal now that I realized how easy it is. But for now it works for better than the plastic POS that I have.
  5. I plasti dipped my wheels, tires, and rear emblems a couple months ago. I left the wheels on it when I did it. I did use masking tape on the tires and put plastic garbage bags behind the wheels to collect the over spray. Plasti dip won't stick to your tires so you don't have to do that. I removed the front grill and rear emblems to do those.
  6. I would be down for a wheeling group or a meet. I'm tired of my Jeep and Yota friends. I'm the lonely Nissan guy. Lol It would be great with some other Pathys. I'm sitting stock right now as well. I've got spacers and new shocks/struts but haven't had the chance to install them yet. You would be just fine on Wolf's Den and Fall's Dam trails at Uwharrie with a stock Pathfinder. Just don't make a wrong turn!
  7. Welcome! I'm in Winston Salem, NC. About an hour from you. If your looking for a good place to go wheeling try Uwharrie National Forest. They have camping grounds, fishing, and OHV trails. That's where I normally go. Please post some pics.
  8. https://youtu.be/ynhumAumc8Q Although I did find this amusing, this guy got what he deserved. Tread lightly and respect the wildlife!
  9. Welcome! I'm new to the site and have a 2001 LE as well. I'm already have 2" spacers with new struts/shocks but haven't installed them yet. I really love the 01-04 models. I'll agree with the ^above guy^ and definitely get skid plates. I've wheeled a couple of times with my stock one and could have screwed up some things. That will be my next purchase. I'm interested in what you do with it. Please post pics!
  10. Like it or not, it does set mine apart. Lol. It is not functional. Just cosmetic. I thought about removing it when I bought the vehicle but I'm afraid what it will look like underneath it.
  11. I dig those wheels as well. I'm actually somewhat jealous. Lol I would keep those.
  12. Here a better pic of the scoop. I don't like how it's split in the middle. I think one like this would look better....
  13. Thanks. That is a hood scoop. The previous owner had put it on.
  14. Thanks for the welcome. I've seen a couple red ones going around but it's rare. The color is what drew me to it the day I bought it.
  15. I was just out at Uwharrie couple weekends ago. I'm a newbie to the forum as well. I have a 2001 to. Let me know when you go back. I would like to hit the trails with other Pathfinders and QX4's.
  16. After mudding on a flooded river bank
  17. Hello all. I've viewed this forum for awhile now for help and diagnosis of problems with my 2001 LE. You guys have been very helpful so I've decided to join. I've owned this vehicle for 8 years. I originally bought this for my wife but took it over as my DD over 2 years ago. It's been one of the better vehicles I've owned. Recently my Jeep buddy has been trying convince me to go off roading so I did. Went to Uwharrie National Forest and was hooked. It's a red 2001 LE that is completely stock........for now. I bought 2" lift spacers from Fleury 2 months ago but have not installed them yet. The only thing I've done is removed the side rails and mud flaps, put 31" tires on, and used many cans of Plasti Dip. I look forward to speaking with you guy. Cheers!
