What kind of bumper deals to the aussie's have? I think $300's a heck of a deal if it fits... This week is a week from hell as far as school work goes so I'll have to look into it more this weekend. That does look like a nice bumper though, thanks for the link.

Did a quick search and didn't come up with the answer I was looking for, sorry if this has been brought up before... I found some nice TJM bumpers made for a cherokee and was wondering if anyone has tried to put them on a pathy. I know some have used TJM from yota's, but didn't know about cherokee's. I know someone will say anything is possible with modification, but I didn't know if the brackets and such are similar or if it's significant modifications. Here's the link: Bumpers There's also different range years, so didn't know what would work best. Also found this. Looks like the one Slick has, but I think that's a smittbuilt IIRC Double Tube Bumper They look really good IMO and appear solid. What do you all think? Definitely cheaper than ARB... TIA! -Eric

Thanks B. I like how it looks too! That's true, didn't consider that...
-
And by the way, here's some kinda crappy phone pics of the new wheels... will try to get some real ones soon.... Before: After:
-
That makes sense, but still stupid IMO. A 1" BL might be the right size for me as I'm just trying to avoiding rubbing, but then again, I don't want to have to do this again if I upgrade to 32's, which I'm considering in the future. Sounds like a good trade... I'm jealous! Would love to be able to get my hands on a bumper, I even have a parts car to trade parts off of.... So with a 3" lift, would I need the radiator drop down kit? That makes sense about all the threading, but I have a set of taps at home that could probably solve that problem... I could always just get the cheaper one and see how I like it, who knows, it may be what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help all, things are a little clearer... now if I only have $150. Being in college sucks sometimes!

I just got my new wheels put on, black cragar soft 8's with 3.75" BS, (will post pics soon) and I have a little rubbing at full turn, or when turning around 45 degrees and hitting bumps. So I started considering a 2-3" BL and the only place I can find one for a 94 is AC. What doesn't make sense to me is that the 2" is $170 and the 3" is only $145. This doesn't seem to make any sense to me, and I would like to put just a 2" on it, but it's going to cost a lot more. 2" BL 3" BL What's the reason for the extra cost on a shorter lift? Could I not just get the taller lift and cut an inch off the lift blocks if I wanted to?

http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...mp;#entry408591 Here's one option... -
Thanks for the responses, I'm going to start acquiring parts and this helps a lot. It will be just a trail rig, at most just a driving to the trails but most likely just getting trailered. Appreciate the info and don't worry 87 pathy, I don't plan an trying to jump into anything I don't understand on a SAS alone, I have a friend that used to do a lot of these kinds of things and volunteered his work to help me out.

^ x2. I believe there is also something pinned about lift options if I'm not mistaken, maybe in the garage section..

Do I have a Problem with my syncros?
Soccerstudd5 replied to Graydon94's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I've been having similar problem but just shifting into 3rd. I've been driving this pathy for a few years and am not doing anything different. I thought I wasn't pressing the clutch in far enough for a while, but it's no different from the other gears. I would be interested to learn a good solution too... I have a rebuilt transmission too. -
Yeah, after seeing that pic, mine is definitely off. Didn't even know I was missing anything. Mine is just a silver-ish metal that I was thinking about just spray painting or something.
-
Yeah, that's answers it. I didn't clarify much. I guess I meant the optional chrome center caps. But I think I'm going to skip those cause I like the look on yours without. Thanks, and sorry about the confusion...
-
B, Think my parents are getting me those wheels for my birthday, do I want open centers?
-
What exactly are you guys talking about? I guess mine is off? All I have is metal around the interior light between the headliners.... Anybody have a pic they can show me what I'm missing?
-
Nice. I have one at school with me, and the other two are at my friend's auction. He has a little extra space out there for cars. Who knew? So what's your excuse for having 3? I already gave mine...
-
What about the three in your sig? (Not the pics) I think I'm going to stop at three.... atleast until my parents and gf calm down a bit about me having three, then we'll see what happens, lol. But seriously, one is just for parts and I just about have everything I want off of it, so it's about to be scrapped as there's not much there anymore. So 2 is going to be a good place to be. I'll try to rival Slick in having a big off road king and a DD. Trying to SAS my 87 and do some mild offroading in my (once again) new 94 and it'll be my DD.

I was running 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's but when I sold the pathy, but the new owner said the alignment was wearing out the tires so she replaced them with some crappy cheap tires that I don't remember what they are, also 31x10.5's, that were on it when I bought it back. I'm going back to either my BFG's (as I have a full size matching spare that's never been used) or maybe some toyo's, cooper's, or maybe nitto's, depending on the deals I can find. I really liked my BFG's though. This is one is my DD so a nice AT would be nice for bad weather and occasional light offroad use. My 87 has some 33x12.5x15's with 4" TM SL and 3" BL. It sits up as high as my dad's stock 03 chevy 2500 diesel truck. Looks real nice, but needs a new set of tires and a SAS this winter before I can take her out again...
-
Thanks for the fast replies (and the pics . I'm currently running the stock legos. B, what kind of tires are those?
-
Done some searching but just need to clarify.... I'm looking into getting some black steelies, Cragar Soft 8's to be exact. I have 31x10.5's on now, if I get a 15x8 with 4" bs, will I still be able to run the same tires for now and will they stick out more or less than stock (3.75 bs)? Also, how will the steelies affect my mpg's or overall performance? Thanks all!
-
I wasn't saying earlier that it was a capable rig, just kinda cool to see a pathy sitting that high. Agreed that it may not be functional, but it sure catches the eye...
-
Ok, so as some of you know I jacked up the IFS on my 87 2 door the first time I took it out, but what can you expect from a $500 truck that's been sitting 6 years... Anyways, I got a parts wagoneer that has all the suspension under it but was really wanting to go with coils up front instead of leafs. If I did that, I would need some kind of linkage up front and was wondering if there was a way to use the came kind of link setup the rear has on the front. I ask because I have a parts pathy that I could cut this off of and hook up to the front. I haven't looked at it because I'm at school and 100 miles away from my project vehicles. Would this setup work or are there things in the way up front that aren't in the rear? Thanks for the help!

Looks like I have something to aspire to when I do a SAS this winter.

I recently put a new window in my 87, and as far as removing and installing the window itself, it's pretty straightforward. Me and my dad did it and it was a breeze with two people, and it helped that I don't have any interior panels on the doors... All I did was remove one screw at the bottom of the window and then it pulled right out. I'm sure after that it shouldn't be too much work to replace the window motor. Good luck!
-
Wow, that sucks! Everyone ok? Looks like from the picture that they got the worst of it.
-
My 94 started just shutting off or the dash would just turn off while the car would still be running without guages, A/C controls, or radio. The problem on mine was a connection on the battery terminal was loose. Good luck on the diagnosis!
