That's awesome man!. Same here with the never going to own a house here. Going either south towards your new area, or north, outside of Bend. I like desert, and the mountains and woods. Cheaper south, but trying to think about how it's slowly getting warmer in summer and wetter in winter. Tough call.

Get ready for my new endeavor - MRJIM II

Works for me. You are not on the Facebook I assume? Or have not tried to add Jim yet if you are? -
Roadkill is awesome! I watch the Mecum and Barret auctions on speed channel at work. All the older dudes that come in are gearheads as well, so keeps em entertained. Also, my drive home does me ok. Highway 9 through Santa Cruz mountains is pretty nice drive. Winding 2 lane road, then pull onto my road which is partially paved, and that part is pretty bad. Playing dodge the potholes, or aim for the potholes is kinda like a tech trail.

THE MRJIM PATHFINDER HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM SNOHOMISH, WA
Bastrdgod replied to MrJim's topic in General Forums
This is pretty late to be coming into, but I'll keep my eyes and ears. Honestly I've learned it either stays close and gets abandoned or picked up pretty quickly or it’s 400+ miles away. Santa Cruz has a huge problem with Bike thieves, and so does Santa Barbra. Both college laid back beach towns full of bikes up for the grabs. Somehow no mater how many bikes go missing both towns seems to maintain same bike population. CHP pulled over a suspicious box truck on 1 going from SB to SC. 50 bikes in back. They started checking them because a box truck doesn’t have much business on 1. Found quite a few bikes. They bring SB bikes up, take SC bikes back down. Also this happens between Portland/Seattle and SC. This can be practice with vehicles as well. Move vehicle no less than 300 miles, swap doors n dash with junkyard donor and sell it on that VIN, or just part and scrap it. It’s more likely to pop up down here than up there. A lot of ties from Oregon to Santa Cruz Mountains, a lot. Quincy or Tahoe/Reno is likely as well. Like I said, It’s a bit late, but I’ll look. Just started a job in SF East Bay doing construction, good place to find ranch trucks, I’ll check up there. There was a rattle can black 4dr 93 or newer for sale couple months back, but stock wheels and bumper and no lift, so no luck in my neighborhood. My 90 has an alarm that I hate to set because it has a habit of going off on it’s own. But I do use it when I have to. When I’ve had too many I hate to leave it at bar, but won’t drive home, so generally I just camp in it. No back seats, pulled all my carpet and plastic because I use it for work and don’t want to damage them. Best theft deterrent I’ve found. Great little camper. Not as roomy as your Suburban, but they are great little campers. -
That would be why. Some epople don't fix leaks, they just let it piss toxic fluid all over the place. Also by top it off I mean Check it / Top it off.

Manual. More control, power efficiency, and mileage. Shifting really isn’t that hard and the connection you can gain with the vehicle is worth it. Just having to stay aware of the vehicle speed vs gear keeps you from dazing off and loosing concentration on the road. It does suck in traffic, I swapped to manual hubs so I can just stuff it in 4 low and crawl in traffic. Not best thing to do, but I hit stop n’ go traffic once every 2-3 months. The maintenance is a whole nother issue. Tranny and Transfer and axles all need fluid changes. Oil is important in machines, crazy I know. MT or AT, it all needs to be done. Axles and Transfer 15-30k miles depending on driving style On/Off-road regardless of MT or AT. Some people go 50k or just never do it... MT is simple and easy, except you do have to pick up a clutch at some point. Decent to good clutch 200-300, plus install, 600 for the Centerforce II/DF. Clutch is every 120k-150k. AT is pretty simple as well. You do have to check it frequently, top it off every 2 weeks at least, if not once a month minimum. I very strongly suggest a tranny fluid cooler, I’m pretty sure most the guys here would agree. Filter has to be changed which can be easily done at home, it’s just messy. If you do, DO NOT dump it in with the motor oil when you go to recycle it. Fluid is every 10-20k, filter 30k.

Won't Start. Turn Key - Lights, Camera, No Action
Bastrdgod replied to JonEdanger's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Yeah, getting 12, so probably not relay... going to order Bosch starter SR2275N. Solenoid is $90, and starter is $107.55 + s/h. I would rather pay 20 more, get whole assembly with lifetime warranty from company with decent reputation. We'll see how this goes. Also I got a whole bunch of pics of starter pull and disassemble and clean to post when I'm done for future reference. -

Having this problem. Was pretty sure it was solenoid. Have to work tomorrow... doubt I'm going to get this done tonight. Bummer. Pulling it out and cleaning the heck out of it. We'll see if this is same problem and if it fixes it. -

Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Install
Bastrdgod replied to msavides's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
My clutch and throw out are going. Seriously considering centerforce. Now that you have couple miles/years on it, how's it working for you. My wd21 is a 90, 2Dr, SE-V6, with 33x12.5 under six inches of lift. The extra 20 lbs per tire is little too much for stock clutch. The cf dual friction seems like best bet, especially if I'm going to add more weight and power. How long is break in? Any tips or suggestions? -
My Pathfinder, The Nissan, that Terrano over there, or when talking to redneck guys, my awesome gas saving little Jap truck. Big Truck is usualy refering to 86 Dodge Ram.
