that basically looks like the same mount I purchased, I enlonged the holes just haven't tried to use bigger bolts, but yeah the middle part doesn't even fit around your tubing so maybe itd work for me if I tried bigger bolts.

yeah that seems like a good idea, I'm going to try to buy longer bolts and try to mount it again if that doesn't work I'll try the one you suggested me , it looks like itd have a bigger opening for the tube, so hopefully thatd work for my carrier tube.

Yeah I was thinking that, but I have no equipment or welding skills so that's out of the question, itd be easier if someone with a r50 did it the same way as I, I'm still open for suggestions though, I like the wd21 carrier more, ots more convenient with mounting stuff on it

I tried doing that, the circular middle part doesn't fit around the tubing because it is too small, do u mind taking a picture of how it looks?, and for mine when o tried to fit it , it was not even the mount , 1 part was diagonal and then one part was kind of straight

Yeah on the r50 it doesn't even have those plates, its just tubing around it.

I just have a question about mounting my antenna on the tire carrier of my r50, I kno I seen some people do it on previous CB threads and mostly wd21's , it seems like they have a little plate you can mount it on, I want to mount mines on the tubing of the carrier, has anyone ever done it before to their's? And if so could you inform me on how you did it and maybe link me to where you bought the specific piece? I bought a mirror mount but that doesn't fit at all, I even enlonged the holes still too small of an opening.

Changed the old spare on my tire carrier, with a general grabber at2 tire

Yeah , I'll have to do more looking around for some better antennas, yeah pretty much id only use it for trail use and basically for convoys , I only want 1 antenna but now that you told me that I'm going to search around a bit more for a better setup for me, what about those mounts would they work and attach to the carrier? Just so id have an idea what mount id be trying to aim for

I just put a order in for my hi-lift jack and a spare tire, my current spare is not even a spare.. lol has a slash in the middle of the tire. will post pics once i have everything installed and up. I was wondering about how to approach this task, im not to familiar with installing a hi lift jack on the tire carriers so any help info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I looked at other members thread's and i really didn't see that many with the hi lift jack on the tire carrier, but i would like to mount my on the tire carrier for convenience and just because i like it better on the carrier. Also want to mount a gas tank on it aswell, but i'd do that much later. I'm going with a hi lift jack right now because i really can't afford a winch there to expensive for me at the moment and i don't have that much money to dish out to a winch so i'm taking an alternative and decided to mount a hi-lift jack up on my carrier. Thanks everyone!, yeah i'm going to try to sand it down and spray it with rust-oleum and then spray paint it black tomorrow so ill definitly take a picture on how it looks tomorrow once everything is all done and finished.

I just received my r50 tire carrier in the mail, i was thinking of repainting it because some of the rust and faded paint. My question is . basically how would i come across this? i need all the info i can get,what paint to buy what also to do step by step because i never repainted anything so i want to make sure i do it correctly. It did come with it stock, just the guy I bought it off of said he took it off because it was a hassle? Lol , all the bolts are still inside it I just need the carrier. Want to make sure it fits before I spend the money
