NIssanBoston's r50 mild build
NIssanBoston replied to NIssanBoston's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Never rode in on, always watched the races on TV though . Should only take you about 30 or 20 mins if you have access to a shop to remove the parts. -

New rear bumper for my "95 WD
NIssanBoston replied to Manik's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
The bumper looks spot on, was wondering how you were going to incorporate the spare tire carrier onto the new bumper, i plan to do this eventually with my r50 it will be a little different than the wd21, but the fabrication of the bumper looks great! -
Wow that's a good paint job! I need to re-paint my r50 soon and do some rust treatments it's taking over my truck. lol

Not to much of a difference, you just can't make sharp turns around corners which you shouldnt do since your in a SUV, to explain it a little bit going over slopes and slides you just feel your truck shift side to side , you get used to it after a while i like it personally. Getting the actual sway bar was a bitch to get out, get something you can cut it with i didn't have access to a power saw so i had to pry it out lol. You get so much more flex too -

Well this hasn't been updated in a while..., Lots of stuff happened, got my AC Coils in the mail and had them installed. 5 days later the strut topped out on me and completely disassembled. Had it towed to my mechanic , the new strut mount was also busted aswell so i had to replace both of those. Not a fun experience at all, once everything was all fixed i went off-roading with a fellow NPORA member here who goes by the name of 93_Ditchfindah. That was an adrenaline rush for me.. I was amazed my pathy could handle that much abuse . Also removed my sway bar and sway bar links for extra flex. Testing out a bit of flex -

Yes i just installed a lift 2 weeks ago. Pics coming up. -
Well i posted on the fb page seeking help and one of the people suggest a trailing arm was bad and well and behold i went under the truck today and they seem to be bad i can move them freely with my hand, Could this be the culprit to the sound that is giving me a headache? View My Video

Did you plasti dip your truck black? The orig pic the trucks white
-
My hangars dont seem that bad, maybe ill try replacing all the hangars and seeing what happens.
-
Yeah im looking into that, where do u purchase your hangars from?, a autopart store? It might be my hangers are not stiff, because when i shake the muffler while its in the hanger it shakes a bit before finally stopping.
-
yeah i was thinking the same thing, now those sre stock hangars
-
I have been dealing with an exhaust problem for quite some time now, i recently put in a exhaust system from after the cat about 3 months ago. I've been hearing this clacking noise coming from the back of my truck, i inspected the hangers and everything and it seemed to me that the muffler hanger was banging onto another metal piece, so i recently just brough it to my mechanic to have the pipe heated up and he pryed the metal hanger away from the metal, it doesnt seem it hits it at all anymore but it still makes the clacking sound, i took a video today to show what i mean. I'll do anything to stop this noise, it's such an annoyance when i drive because that's all i hear whenver i go over bumps. It only makes the noise whenever i go over the bumps. View My Video

Yeah they were driving dirt bikes, and had a jeep grand cherokee .
-
Not positive never replaced one of those, the leak is coming from the front of the truck, how would i go about rreplacing one of those.
-
The leak has gotten a littlr bit better, less puddle of oil i see, but it seems like theres way more oil on the transmission .
-
I recently replaced the valve cover gasket the passenger side, that side is definitely not leaking anymore. I went down under the truck today to inspect it and i see drips of oil which i think is coming from the transmission, it's not transmission oil it's engine oil. Why is it leaking here? How could i fix it? Should i just bring it to my mechanic and how much should i expect to pay for the repair.

Yes it was on shirkin

How do you rhino line? What does it do? Never heard of it o.o -
I don't know if you could consider this a "breakdown" but it was my 3rd off-roading trip and i was up in NH offroading which is about 1hr 30 mins from my home. My wife and my 18 mo old daughter was with me. I saw a mud pit that i thought i could get through... Wrong i hit the pit and got stuck in the middle.. Mind you i dont have a lift and only general grabber tires. Looked around for another person and found a guy driving a jeep cherokee, asked if he could pull me out and he had no problem doing that only thing was he did not have recovery straps, neither did i... lol So we must of waited an hour for another person to roam by and that guy didn't have recovery gear either, so i came up with the idea of asking if there was a walmart near by and there was, so they gave me a lift to a local walmart where i bought recovery straps , they drove me back to the trail and pulled me out. All in all i was stranded 3 hours in that mud pit, i was so fortunate that the guys that helped me out stayed with me until i got my truck out.
