Deleting leaves gaps in the forum, no personal information is stored here so you can just walk away and if ever you need to return, you won't need to sign up ;)

This is very easily solved, just go buy another Pathfinder! Duh!

  2. So all of a sudden my RPMs work again, so new cluster it is. Now I just have a problem with the idle running rough in Park. Well, and it hogging gas more than normal. Any recommended cluster I should get? Maybe an older model Pathy? Like a 91 or so?
  3. We actually just decided on a new one lol. Figured at this point that's what it's gotta be.
  4. Ok getting ready to change the therm now, we will see if that works. Have to wait 24 hours for the RTV to set before I can fire it up.
  5. It's like barely above the line though. It's way low. It does put out good heat, but the idle sounds high, and it never sounds like it's warmed up.
  6. It was the one in the front, right on top. Had a yellow connector. I'm going to try to replace the therm tomorrow. How hard can it be? O.o This is what the coolant sensor looked like that I replaced, but it's grey. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MPI0/29305/01392.oap?year=1995&make=Nissan&model=Pathfinder&vi=1212006&ck=Search_coolant+temperature+sensor%21s%21sender_1212006_-1&keyword=coolant+temperature+sensor%21s%21sender
  7. So I just replaced the coolant sensor in my 1995 SE-V6 Pathfinder in hopes it would fix my temp gauge. My RPM gauge also sticks at around 3000 as soon as the vehicle is on. The new sensor is in, and it seems like it registers it being as when I disconnect it it says check engine. I am not sure if I have to clear codes or disconnect the battery before I install it, but any ideas would be helpful. I'm also replacing the thermostat. Could it be I need a new cluster? All my little fuses are good.
  8. And now it stopped again. Doesn't seem really like it's not working now, just that it gets stuck. I replaced my coolant sensor to see if that fixed the temp gauge (didn't -.-) and it only goes up to 2500 now, but when i give it gas it goes up, and then stays at 3000.
  9. Awesome! I cleaned it out, and it works now. Thanks!
  10. Thanks! This helped me clean my contacts.
  11. Awesome! I'll try the screw thing tomorrow. Hopefully that works. I can't afford to have to take it to a shop.
  12. I just traded my Subaru for a Pathfinder, and for some reason when you start it up, the RPS go straight to 3. Now, I have listened to the engine, and it sounds fine (aside from the ticking manifold I need to replace), and it doesn't sound like it's revving as high as that (no where near). When you shut it off, it goes back down to zero, but also doesn't seem to change while driving. What are some thoughts on what I might need to replace to fix that? I'm also replacing the thermostat, coolant temp sensor, and exhaust manifold.
  13. This thread is going to help me a lot tomorrow! I have a similar issue, and am changing out the coolant sensor and thermostat tomorrow. I'll let you know how that works, and if that helps.
